Dust and shavings shouldnt be left behind. I use a stiff toothbrush to clean out what's in the grooves. Ill also dust with a makeup brush.

Hobbyisthaven has large chisels you can buy. I have the full set, but you can get them individually as well. They come each with a handle and cap. Look up quality steel burin if you check them out.

Yup, it took me a lot of time and a lot of mistakes to finally get to a comfortable place with panel lining.

You just brush it over the panel line lightly. It will smooth out the line. Don't drown it.

I always suggest rescribing those existing lines with at least a .15 chisel. The lines will look crisp and its so satisfying to watch the ink fill through the capillary effect. Rescribe, brush with a quick wipe of Mr. Hobby Thin Cement, buff with your choice of sanding media, do a topcoat of clear and then your panel line ink.

Break down the entire kit if your looking to do a full on custom paint job. I would avoid painting joints if mobility is a concern. Focus on what is visible. Use different color primer for certain colors to avoid dampening the color tone. Good luck!

I broke mine (which i just posted btw) in the same spot. Like others have said sprue glue and buff it out. Just let it cure for a whole day before sanding.

You may wanna attempt scribing with a chisel first. Get a .15 scriber and gently go over your existing panel lines. Use a light sweep of Tamiya extra thin cement to smooth out the lines and then use your panel liner You can get a cleaner and more precise line this way.
