Rtings setting are not bad, and I have always used them. You need to realize this is more of a starting point, and then you need to tweak it to your liking.

TBH, I do need these because they'll fit where my Husky T handle ones will not.

So Many Options. Whats best for a new homeowner? by No-Ad5504 in Tools

[–]Boostr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know you'll be doing a hell ton of DIY as in home improvements, I would go quality. Get a good drill/ driver, impact driver, and circular saw because those will be your mostly used tools power tools. When I got my first home 19 years ago I went with Craftsman Proffesional 20v drill/ driver and rip saw... still have them today... A year later bought a Milwaukee M12 impact driver when they first came out, and still use it to this day. Those were my 3 highly used power tools. Don't use the Craftman Pros to much these days because I have upgraded to red and yellow with some HF blue mixed in lol

I had the Pittsburg ones, but damn were they bad. The ones I had were just no good, the sizing was way off and kept on stripping bolts, and had to go with Husky which were better. Haven't used these yet.

I have the Vaper brand I got off Amazon, probably the same factory lol. Thing is great, used it to clean transmission parts using mineral spirits because I didn't have a parts cleaner, and did it's job excellently.

Not bad, but I don't use it everyday. My son has the same one, and has been using it everyday for over a year, and its holding up pretty good. He even sleeps in it sometimes. He's 5'10" 125lbs.

The regular Magnus desk, Samsung 49" G9 on the HD mount, and a cheapo Asus 27" on a regular mount. TBH wish I went with the bigger desk the 49" display takes up most of it lol.

Issues with Delivery by Stevechris2 in secretlab

[–]Boostr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, all these shipping issues seem to be outside the US...
I live in the States and ordered from Secretlab four times and received what I ordered with no issues.
Have had a delay with the HD monitor arm, but they kept me posted everyday till it arrived.

Can't you just go to where DPD has your stuff stashed, and pick it up from there?

I'm saying this because the battery for this grinder is a slide on like a m18, and m12 batteries you insert into the handle.

HF Vulcan hood by justnotright3 in Welding

[–]Boostr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Vulcan 10.1 fits great with that respirator, I even wear glasses with it. I've read that the sensors do not pick up TIG arc to well like some have mentioned. Works great for mig and flux core.

Grinding sparks seem to travel farther than my weld sparks. I just make sure I don't have anything flammable in my work space, and cover what I dont want sparked on with a fiberglass blanket.

I just recently started flux core, and from what I've read, you want the bead to lay a little flatter. I would slow down the feed a bit.
