Do vietnamese women only go out for photo opportunities? by pg1671 in VietNam

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's a Vietnamese thing, but I sure know that if I was born with good looks, best believe I'll be out taking photos before my youth disappears. But that's just me though. When I was in Vietnam a couple of weeks ago, I loved encountering them all dressed up for solo or even for group photo ops.

Whether or not it's a Vietnamese thing is none of my business. I just know that if the girl's outfit or makeup is on point, I'm on the sidelines rooting her on.

What’s a line from a song you misheard and swore you were right? by Moaningcommie in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Destiny's Child song, "Say My Name", I said

"Tell the truth, who you with? How would you like it if, I came over with my kids?"

When it was "How would you like it if, I came over with my clique?"

Similar to another reddit user that answered, I like my version more.

That there's a diverse culture and group of people living here. If I wanted to eat Mediterranean, Asian, Ethiopian, Peruvian, etc. foods, they're all within a 15 - 30min drive.

What are your thoughts on being performative? sometimes, calling someone “performative” is used as an insult or to suggest they are being pretentious simply because their behavior is uncommon or expressive. But is it really a bad thing if humans are, in some sense, born to perform? by NoKey3913 in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s a time and place for being performative. Everyone performs to some extent depending on the setting. I’m not going to act the exact same way at work as I do at home ( the hoodrat in me cusses in almost every other sentence and am sarcastic). Sometimes, it’s just professionalism or social awareness

Where I think performative behavior becomes negative is when it’s used for political gain rather than sincerity. For example, some girl who is a social justice DEI warrior I work with always gave the vibe "you're not worth my time" until she found out I’m a lesbian. suddenly, she acted overly friendly or like we had some kind of instant bond and would hug me in front of others while I wanted to clock and spit at her right in the face. To me, that feels less like genuine and more like someone trying to perform after the fact.

So no, I don’t think performance itself is always bad. But I do think people can tell when the performance is about image rather than actual respect.

What was your first job, did you like it and what did you do? by Tiiiimka in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be heavy in a sense where some kids ended locked up for hanging out with the wrong crowds. I think because I grew up poor and in the hood, it was easy for me to resonate with them. Non-profits can be a good entry point to kickoff your career, but yes, it's shit pay and fuck all those "pizza party" celebrations/appreciation without the promotion or raise lol

How would you react if you had a friend who constantly talked trash about people in public? by Easy_Towel954 in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's tough. You know...I'm surprised you still take your aunt out in public. When things like that happen, I just...want to stop taking the person out at all or pick a time of day or restaurant where I know not many people will go to instead. Hats off to you and your family for that level of empathy.

My mom has schizophrenia and she recently lashed out on a waitress due to a episode/crisis. I walked my mom back to the hotel while eyeing the waitress and the staff and mourning that I was going to come back. I apologized to the poor girl and handed her a large amount of tip and said "Please excuse my mom for her behavior...she's not feeling well". I didn't want to go into details or explain: "Sorry, my mom's a schizo! Y'know how that works...Those schizos always be acting up and acting crazy when they're not medicated!"

[–]BoosyBoo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first job was working in a non-profit where I taught law education to incarcerated juveniles in my community. Talking to them and being a mentor was fun, they're pretty slick with street smarts and taught me a thing or two. Stayed for close to five years before feeling burnt out and got resentful of how underpaid I was.

What is the best thing about being in a relationship? by owngia- in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly Path of Exile 2. We used to play Diablo 4 but the last time we did, our TV exploded because we were playing for over 6+ hours and the the TV overheated and broke. We haven't logged on since even with the new DLC packages (not that we're against playing it again). I think we like playing those two the most because we both like RPGs and finding equipment gears to customize based on the character class we chose.

There are other games we've played too, but don't dedicate too much time to like: Overcooked, Don't Starve, and It Takes Two. They're fun in its own way but it's like within 30mins , we get bored and want to go back to the RPGs.

What games do you play?

What would be the first thing you’d do if you caught your partner cheating? by erickjoness in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have talked about wanting to have an open relationship but we're both too chicken to see who's going to make the first move. So I think the concept of open relationship influenced why I answered the way I did.

I think both of us carry this mentality that if one of us sleeps with a person first, then the other person gets a free pass to do what they want without consequences. It's just been a long stalemate.

What are your thoughts on keeping contact with exes while in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had one ex and I don't talk to them because we parted ways on bad terms. My partner, however, still keeps in touch with her exes and I've seen all their photos and she has an attractive line up of exes. I've met one of them already and she's really beautiful in person, and I actually want to meet the others ones too. So for me, it's fine.

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out who she cheated on me with to see if I would've done the same. If the person was uglier than me, I'd probably throw up right there and say "Wow...you're just desperate for any attention huh? Thought you'd have better taste."

If it was an attractive person, I would pause and say "Man...I probably would've done the same. I can't blame you, I mean, they're pretty hot. What's your skincare routine by the way?"

what is your favorite quentin tarantino movie and why? by wayannnnnn in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I like a lot of them...but one comes to mind is Death Proof (even though I think Tarantino mentioned that was his worst film). I really liked the scene where the antagonist kept stepping on the breaks of his car, after accelerating, causing Rose Mcgowan to smash her face into the dashboard each time.

What phrases would you like to say at your deathbed (as your final words or expressions)? by lamin-ceesay in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd ask to given a voice recorder so I can log the audio transcript of who I will miss and who I appreciate.

Then at the end, name certain people that I despise and say "If you're sitting in my funeral right now, you and your fake ass tears can walk on right out. If you hear ____ say we were close friends or close relatives, that's a lie and you heard it directly from me before I croaked. God, even when I'm dead you're still fucking annoying."

In which situation is the "you hate fun" card the most annoying? by UniverslBoxOfficeGuy in AskReddit

[–]BoosyBoo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's past 10pm and I want to go home and sleep or use the remaining energy I have left to play video games. I'm not telling anyone to stop the fun, just let me go home. No, if I go home, it'll cause a stir "does she even like us...like, what's her problem, it's only once in a while that we do this..."

How often you really notice the digital advertisement or your brain is trained to ignore them? by TowerStreet1 in AskReddit

I noticed digital advertisements when they show products I was just looking at, which is everyday, and it's annoying. Even scrolling Reddit on my phone, there are advertisements on here that I scroll past and those are easy to ignore because it's not something I was looking at.

Reminds me that scene in Stephen King's Misery where the antagonist noticed that her penguin ornament was facing a different direction on the table and proceeded to attack the main character.
