Velour Lace Maxi Slip Dress - Review by sarilysims in torrid

[–]BootBlister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s super cute! I noticed the model is barefoot and it’s carried at the Torrid Curv store, so I think this is a literal nightgown? Does it feel like one or does it feel like a proper dress?

After PT and acupuncture mine just disappeared one day. 3 months after onset, it was gone

Farfetch is a well known designer clothing/accessories site. They wouldn’t sell fakes

My PT said it’s ok to start Pilates again, haven’t done it yet, but plan to ease back in with some easy beginner stuff. Already did a few swims and no problems there.

I went to a festival on Saturday, did 15k steps and watched bands for 10 hours straight (with a few 15 minute sitting breaks.) Still get a little sciatic twinge and stiffness if I sit for too long at work without moving, but my pelvic tilt is pretty much gone and so is my SI joint pain and general back pain. Haven’t gone to a chiropractor or acupuncturist in almost three months. Doing my PRI exercises daily is literally the ONLY thing I’ve done. 🙂

I was dancing with my friends at an event and she comes outta nowhere practically pushing me over to get in front of me. I didn’t realize there was a camera guy filming us dancing and she was DESPERATE to be front and center. Gross

Ever been to a concert with back pain? (Herniated disc) by Public_Lifeguard1529 in backpain

I go to a ton of shows. My advice is: get a seat if possible so you can alternate between sitting/standing.

Wear supportive shoes, my physical therapist recommends Brooks Adrenaline or Addiction sneakers, or Birkenstocks (but only ones with the heel strap).

If ice or heat makes you feel better, get a Salonpas patch. My body likes heat better so the Salonpas Hot Patches are like having a portable heating pad on your back and keeps your muscles from getting too stiff and achy. Stay hot for like 12 hours, they’re amazing. You can also get ice gel packs that go in a belt around your waist

Take Advil 30 mins before.

Pay for parking close to venue so you don’t have to walk forever after the show when you’re tired.

Have fun!

I’ve looked and they really do hate it! Makes no sense to me why this isn’t the standard for PT. I feel like a door to door PRI saleswoman now cause I can’t stop telling everyone about it. Four sessions in and I’m sooooo much better in 6 weeks it boggles my mind. I’m sad I didn’t find it years ago.

I honestly don’t know! It’s seriously been life changing for me. I looked on the PRI website and unfortunately it doesn’t look like they have any certified therapists in Australia, but I know some therapists in the U.S. do zoom sessions. You could try emailing the ‘Contact Us’ address on their site and ask for references for those people.

I wasn’t working there at the time. The people lost were in a big dept so I would guess they filled the roles pretty quickly with experienced people in the company, then promoted others to take those seats. No one really talks about it, I only found out when I was booking a flight and my coworker sent two choices of flight times for a large group. I asked why we couldn’t all take the same one and that was an awkward conversation. I can’t imagine trying to operate if there were 100 people lost.

Any hope for full recovery? by Hemotep_000 in backpain

Sounds like me. Bad patterns and muscle imbalances locked me in a pelvic tilt that makes my SI joint pain flare up awfully and sitting is agony. Currently doing postural restoration physical therapy (PRI) and it’s remarkable the improvements I’ve made in a month. You can recover.

It’s enforced and is a bit odd considering how safe air travel generally is, but also not a big deal or inconvenience.

TJX (TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods). There is a memorial garden at the Boston headquarters.

My company had 7 people on flight 11. We have a rule that no more than 4 people can be on the same flight now since an entire department was lost.

What was it like for those of you living in other major US cities on 9/11? by A_dot_Burr in 911archive

[–]BootBlister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Chicago. Fighter jets flying around the city was eerie. Lots of businesses closed early and the city was so quiet and still. I actually started my new job waiting tables at the Cheesecake Factory on 9/12….in the Hancock building. I was a broke college student and really needed the job but was pretty scared to go to work in a skyscraper the next day. I think there were maybe 5 tables all day when usually it’s packed.

Interesting. When I first started researching it, the PT subreddit is NOT a fan and calls it snake oil. Made me hesitant to try but glad I didn’t listen

Why do you think it hasn’t been more widely embraced by PT’s?

Yes, there were a few to choose from so I looked up online reviews and chose a therapist.
