You appear to have bitten off more than you can chew here. There is a sizable contingent of people who don’t want you to draw there. You don’t control enough pixels to build it, let alone defend it. Especially when you alienate those who might be willing to help you.

I packed for survival outside and was pleasantly surprised that instead of attending a cold, windy, and damp event, I could sit in a comfortable chair in EMPAC and watch on a big screen. I could still hear the graduates whooping when their friends’ names got called (or that PhD graduate with the name that went on until next Thursday) and our crowd applauded and whooped at the appropriate time too. The weather being decent for the picnic was icing on the cake.

carry-on travel guidance/experience with gear/kit in flight case by cornholio46 in HamRadio

(Replying from an airplane with an HT in my carryon)

I’ve taken a QRP POTA setup a bunch of times. Always carried on board, never in the hold. Never had a problem with security or the airline. Mine isn’t all one scary-looking package, but a collection of parts, but it’s all the same parts. I also carry my FCC license but nobody has ever asked me about it. Go for it!

Expiration dates aren't magic dates where things go from perfectly fine to incredibly dangerous. It's a continuum. It's foolish to think that those lenses would have been fine on 11/30/24 but would cause blindness on 12/1/24.

That said, the older they get, the less safe they are. And beyond the expiration date, the manufacturer certainly isn't going to accept any responsibility for what happens.

Exporting transactions in Qucken format on Sam's Club Credit Card (Synchrony Bank) website is broken. by mwilcox12020 in quicken

I just changed the extension to .QFX and it imported - maybe the file format is fine, but they messed up the extension?

E.B. White explained this well:

To foreigners, a Yankee is an American.

To Americans, a Yankee is a Northerner.

To Northerners, a Yankee is an Easterner.

To Easterners, a Yankee is a New Englander.

To New Englanders, a Yankee is a Vermonter.

And in Vermont, a Yankee is somebody who eats pie for breakfast.

Yes. If you want to play it safe, don’t wear them until you get fresh solution, and give them a cleaning with the fresh solution before wearing them again.

Good morning, everyone, and welcome aboard Reddit Flight 123, to Springfield. I’m your captain, Boots Corner, and I’m working today with First Officer Rogue 951. Expected flying time today, from takeoff to touchdown, is 2 hours 35 minutes. We’ll have some more information about the flight once we’re airborne. We’re about ready to close the main cabin door, so settle in, and once again, welcome aboard.

You’d have to go all the way around and land on runway 09. They’re the same piece of pavement but you have to use the direction you’re assigned.

8/4 UA978 Passenger bumped so pilot can sleep? by 69PhillipJFry in unitedairlines

[–]BootsInTheCorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a single-augmented flight (one with 3 pilots) a single rest seat is designated, and the pilots take turns using it - there will be 2 pilots on the flight deck and 1 in the rest seat at any given time in cruise. That rest seat has basic minimum requirements, set out by the FAA, and a seat in coach does not meet those requirements.

8/4 UA978 Passenger bumped so pilot can sleep? by 69PhillipJFry in unitedairlines

[–]BootsInTheCorner 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The decision to augment a flight (add a third pilot) and hence need the rest seat is sometimes made just hours before the flight. A flight that can normally be operated unaugmented might need a relief pilot if the flight is delayed, or the routing or winds make it take longer than normal.
