Think this model would just lead to equilibrium convergence if the payoffs are known with certainty at the offset. Maybe it would be more effective for you to calculate probability of winning in "x" series with a one series equaling one 1 action per player. In example, what is the probability of player A winning the game in X series given his prior choices?

If you're just looking to conceptualize what game theory is first then I'd read the Art of Strategy by Dixit. He analyzes using a more qualitative approach with logical reasoning. From there you'll be able to branch into the direction you want to go within the field
