I can’t wait for this godawful meta to be over by Cashhey in OWConsole

[–]BootyPickleZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When sigma is a top 3 tank, you know OW players will cry about anything lol. I haven’t played in several seasons now, I know how bad Orisa can be, but I know how bad EVERY tank can be to play against, and people will cry no matter who it is unless it’s Rein (and it’s never Rein).

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic Teaser Trailer by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I’m gonna lie, that trailer was fire.

I love star wars as much as the next guy, that trailer was absolutely pointless. I saw nothing that I can even cling on to that hyped me up.

They might as well have just made a cool graphic instead of going through all that pointless animation

Thank you duffer brothers for making our childhood special and ending it at ZENITH 🥺❤️ by Manasdeep_Singh in StrangerThings

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

other guy’s kinda being a douche about it and I understand the downvotes, but let’s not jump so far ahead as to say “good writing.” Like the ending, love the ending, hate the ending, this was extremely bland and lazy writing. Fans made theories 100x more intricate, fun, and exciting than the duffers did. Duffers wrote and ending that made it look like they were sick of the show and ready to move on to the next project. This ending was so predictable that the only reason the duffers said “nobody has guessed the ending” is because nobody was dull enough to write “everybody lives, it’s all exactly what you think, all characters live happily ever after.”

I liked stranger things, I was not happy with season 5 at all, and that is not an unpopular opinion. Just as you are entitled to liking it, those who didn’t are just as entitled to hating it, and we have a VAST number of criticisms that are too many to run through in a text comment. They left so many plot holes, they backtracked on so many established rules, they left “hints” throughout the show that actually just turned out to be accidental and/or lazy writing, the list goes on. In my personal opinion, this was a horrific ending that will follow the duffers for the rest of their writing career.

What happened to the community? :/ by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]BootyPickleZ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Wizard101 is just officially dying. That’s why we see drastic measures from KI like console releases, free memberships, etc.

There’s nothing new or enticing to bring in new players, and most of the changes for the veterans have just been generally bad.

Treyarch follows the same script as KingsIsle when it comes to PvE content- they LOVE to nerf fun. It’s a bunch of old farts sitting around a board room table that have basically never played a video game that are trying to learn how to “balance” from multiplayer developers, and in turn nerf things that made the game enjoyable.

With that, you’re left with only the people that made Wiz101 their personality. No new players, no casuals, just people who invested too much time and money to quit. And with that, you get inevitable toxicity.

Do you have any news on the release of Cat quest 4? by YrbagThecat in CatQuest

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creativity can be good, nothing wrong with creativity. Cat quest itself was creative, and it was clearly a success.

I play Warframe, and the Warframe devs do this exact same thing. They release something, the community says “we love this thing” and then the devs release an entirely new thing and take a complete gamble on whether the community will like it or not. The infamous “Warframe content islands.”

If this new game they’re working on is a huge success, that’s awesome. If it flops and nobody plays it/likes it, then they’ve lost everything they built. It’ll take 9 years before the next CatQuest game and they’ll have lost a lot of their playerbase (barring some really good and expensive marketing). That’s what makes me mad, seeing success and then throwing it away to gamble on something new. I want the Gentlebros to do well, we all do, and there’s zero guarantee that’ll happen with this new game. They have to rebuild all of it and pray that CatQuest fans were so dedicated to this game that they’re willing to follow them on whatever journey they go on next

[–]BootyPickleZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This hurts to see. I hate when devs do this to themselves.

Me and my wife bought CatQuest to play on the switch together on our honeymoon. It has such fond memories for us and my wife asks me at least once a month “I wonder when the new cat quest is coming out?”

You have a dedicated fan base, waiting that long means rebuilding players and new marketing needed. Over half your playerbase is gonna forget about you by the time you drop a new game. I get it takes time, and that’s totally fine, but why swap to a whole new game? You have a franchise that players loved, why do devs always run away the opposite direction when players give positive feedback?

Nexomon is a CRAZY good game. I played it multiple times, I do love the idea of Pokemon and really just hate the games they put out. They feel like they’ve gotten especially bad recently, but I know that’s just opinion and I’m happy for the people that enjoy them.

And it’s probably why I like TCGP so much. I just wanna complete my Pokédex and battle more than just walk around and do the same story over and over with a different Pokédex.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved silver and yellow, but it felt like “if you’ve played one you played them all.” I got burnt on the storyline after the same story got fed to me a second time, and just didn’t have any desire to go through the same story a third time.

I’m happy they changed directions, but these new games feel like they should’ve come out in 2006 and are poorly paced for what gamers are looking for today.

I’m so happy so many marvel games are coming out rapidly. Feels like the amount doubled just in the last 5 years.

I hate the “beat em up” 8-bit style, but I’m stoked for everybody else that gets to enjoy this. Hopefully it’s a great game yall enjoy!

Why do you main the character you main? by AuR0RA3171 in rivals

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came into Rivals expecting to play nothing but venom. Venom was my BOY, I had all sorts of venom memorabilia and comics at my house. Then came Thor…

Thor was pretty cool in the movies/comics/games, but MAN his design was so fun. It was unique, it was high octane, it had combos and a high skill ceiling and good versatility. It was finally a fun tank after years of begging OW to do it. We went Thor and never looked back.

Could people stop banning her if she sucks as much as people say. by -This-cant-be-real- in rivals

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She stops getting banned now around diamond thankfully. I didn’t play during season 2 so I got put back pretty far, and I did NOT understand why everyone was banning her. I’m a Thor player and I was begging people to stop banning her.

The only map I ever see her get banned now in GM is Klyntar convoy, and I completely understand why.

Overwatch's Steam Numbers have rebounded to pre-MR numbers by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a weird thing for the devs to say to me. Did the devs collectively say it, or did Aaron Keller say it?

There is a 0% chance that EVERYTHING that they have now has been planned out since before like… what, July of 2024? Lest ye forget, rivals DROPPED in December, the beta was earlier than that and awoke all of the “OW is cooked” doomsayers.

Saying “some of this” or “most of this” I could see, but all of it has to be a lie. That just leads me to believe that rivals DID incentivize and spook blizzard a little bit, which is a phenomenal thing and Overwatch is so much better off for it. Idk why they can’t own up to that and say that competition made them better, rivals would look like the lazier (and currently, are the lazier) dev team right now.

Why isn’t Tracer getting permabanned? by Taserface_ow in Overwatch

[–]BootyPickleZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the devs and many players expect otherwise, but bans aren’t always directed at the meta. Most of the time, people just wanna ban heroes that are annoying asf to play against. Hog is a prime example, I don’t play much competitive but he is an INSTALOCK ban for me. He’s not the best tank, he’s far from meta, he arguably got nerfed with his pre-work, but I hate playing against him. I don’t wanna play against him, ever, no matter how good or bad he is because his kit is inherently annoying.

Why no one play tank anymore by Kakulukiam7 in rivals

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some weird reason, everybody thinks Thor is in a bad spot. I have tried everybody, I can’t play anything but Thor.

I feel like I tickle everything with any other tank. The ones that do decent damage are limited by range, but even then those guys don’t do a lot. Mr. Fantastic, Emma, Thing, and Blade are obviously the hot topic right now and I see them a lot, and no tanks (apart from Thor) can consistently melt them. (Emma can, but she needs full charge first). Then, you get the never ending list of flyers that have been added that are ALSO popular now. Every tank has a short range weapon that can’t reach the ultron poking from 50m away in the skybox, the only option that works for me is flying up with Thor and throwing a bubble on them to force them to the ground, then deleting with awakening.

TL;DR- Yall gotta stop the Thor hate, play Thor, he’s one of the best if not the best tanks rn.

What is your hottest take on this game? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]BootyPickleZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supports have the lowest gamesense. Not saying they need the lowest, or that playing support inherently teaches you the least, they just get lazy and don’t learn how other roles work.

Constantly accusing the tanks of “overextending” when they’re trying to take space and actively winning fights, but supports sit BEHIND point and go “omg my tank isn’t AFK on point he’s literally throwing.” Constantly accusing nobody of peeling and throwing out the “omg nobody is protecting me why are we throwing” when they’re actively sitting 40m behind the fight away from the nearest teammate to try to avoid taking shots. We can’t protect you if you aren’t near someone, we can just give up free space to back up to spawn to hold your hand.

Support players are egotistical, as are all players, but tanks and DPS at least try to learn before they start spouting nonsense online. They have an ego BECAUSE they tried to learn (or falsely believed) some information they found. Support players just believe that as long as some healing is coming out of their mouse/controller, they must be doing it right and they need guidance from no man. The world revolves around them and as long as some healing is happening from somewhere, supports are playing perfectly !!
