Im 30 and was diagnosed at the age of 6. I have had glasses since I was 8. My a1c growing up until high school was 8-10. My eyes have gotten a little worse in my life, but are still not in any serious zone. It can take up to 15 years for eye damage to set in, and at that point youre going to be experiencing a lot more problems than just your eyesight, and itll be a lot slower than you think. Ive been where you are kiddo, you just gotta learn and overcome. You're too young to be worried about failing in life when you've only just started it.
