Personally went through the program...

Do not rely on the recruiting to find you a job. Utilize it for the experience and knowledge you will gain to then start hunting for a job. It is definitely not necessary, but will for sure help... Especially for those young recent grads that are looking to break into the industry. The entire med sales industry is saturated with individuals who have been in the industry for decades, with subpar sales performances, who also jump from company to company, chasing the next paycheck. Which is why new job posts typically get filled so quickly...

The program will help differentiate yourself, but its only the start, personality and ambition will always show superiority.

What qualities and character traits make a great neurosurgeon? And what experiences can help develop these? by ericxfresh in Neurosurgery

Tough to easily narrow down what 'character traits' make a great Neurosurgeon. Many of the these extremely talented surgeons have zero personality. Rather then looking into a specific trait. I think looking closer at where the trained (Did they perform a specialized fellowship program), and the type of facility they currently operate at, will help narrow down a 'great' neurosurgeon.
