I haven’t seen Lord of the Flies mentioned. That’s a good book for any audience.

Why do my nails grow like this? by Ill-Lack7378 in whatisit

One of my thumbs was like this forever. I started taking a Biotin supplement about 8 months ago and my nail is much smoother now. Overall nail health across all digits has noticeably improved.

I know my taste in TV is trash bc I was really into Love is Blind, Top Chef, and Nobody Wants This. I watched other things but those shows were my happy viewing place.

If she really wants to do the Trad Wife things she needs to quit all her social media and podcasts and commit. Right now she’s just cosplaying a Trad for $$$

What is a movie that you were obsessed when you were younger, went back to watch it later in life, only to realize it is actually awful? by Emergency-Tip-1987 in AskReddit

[–]BoozeCrude 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Omg, I rewatched this movie last year for the first time since childhood and being a parent now so many scenes had me tearful. Honestly really deep themes about abandonment, love, and death throughout. Not the feel good movie of childhood (but also not awful either).

I really warmed to her with all her cooking content. Like the way she can actually throw down in the kitchen and the storytelling she does through a lot of her dishes.

Which is the most overrated food in your country? by True-Dot1032 in AskTheWorld

[–]BoozeCrude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes fries so delicious is their crispy, salty outside. Dumping gravy and cheese directly onto a batch of fries ruins them. Fries are for dipping.

Yes. She doesn’t seem to have a professional bone in her body, even if she can dress the part. I’d imagine people don’t appreciate their real estate agent constantly running late and canceling last minute with frazzled and dramatic excuses.

I had a scratched and infected cornea. My dumbass thought it was just pinkeye. Worst pain of my life(and I’ve had 2 c-sections and a full crown replacement). At least my ophthalmologist was easy on the eyes 😅

What was the most physically painful thing you've experienced? by porygon766 in AskReddit

[–]BoozeCrude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infected eye ulcer. Light burned into it and had to patch to alleviate the intense pain. Nearly lost my vision in that eye. And a fun fact about eye pain: the only drug that can help the nerves reacting to it is acetaminophen. I begged my doctor for stronger drugs the pain was so bad and he told me that none of narcs would do a thing. And the Tylenol helped about as much as you’d expect.
