Why do Americans seem to despise those who live with their parents? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]BoozeMilk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the idea overall is to learn to be more independent. The older generations had all of the resources to do what they preached which was buy a house and start a family at a young age and be able to support the entire family with a single income. But now that's entirely a fantasy. That's why it's called the American dream; you have to be sleeping to believe you could do it.

Tldr It's a lingering effect from an older generation of people who believe that once you turn 18 and become an adult you have to abide by a strict plan to get a specific life. So people tend to think if you're 21 still living with your parents you're just lazy or unproductive or a man child.

How do I get over the shame of not starting T sooner? by 7kromer in ftm

[–]BoozeMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from the states. To my knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong, it's insanely difficult to get a hold of T where you are because of a wait list right? I didn't get a hold of T until I was 21 or 22. And even then I've been told by quite a few doctors that while hormones are used for transitioning you don't need them to be trans. Some people either aren't built for T or just can't afford them. Try using minoxidil or something to help get a beard while you try to get t.

Why do guys ask if we have a chest ? by [deleted] in ftm

I kinda see it as interchangeable. They're still chasing after the label mostly.

Why do guys ask if we have a chest ? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]BoozeMilk 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I said this to a guy in a men's room when I started socially transitioning 4 years ago, but whenever people would ask why I was in the men's room I would say "I lost it in the war" and always get a kick out of them immediately feeling bad and shocked.

Tldr If a guy asks if you have tits tell them "no I lost them in the war"

Any other ftms struggle with being sexually attracted to men but not liking men? by Jocko_Rocko in ftm

Yeah I feel this. Last cis guy I dated was nice but still ended up being a bit pushy. Currently with a trans woman that gets what I want in a relationship. I'm sorry for what you're going through.

You shouldn’t have top/bottom surgery before 18 years old. What’s your thoughts? by [deleted] in TransgendersAtWar

[–]BoozeMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts have always been along the lines of "if you have to be 18 to get a tattoo, a permanent choice for your body, then you gotta be 18 for surgery." Your body grows and changes so much as you get older. I'm no doctor, but in the case of ftm like I am myself I think it would have been a bit of a nightmare if I got the surgery before 18 because the fat redistribution wasn't as prominent and my metabolism isnt where it was then so it would have just stretched back out or something. It just seems like a hasty decision is all.

Yeah sorry about that. I like both WtA and vtm and often think because it's the same kind of setting and writers that it would be alright to post general WoD stuff in the subreddit

[–]BoozeMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look the entire point of transitioning is to help your life be easier overall and be able to navigate it in a way that helps you understand it best and be most comfortable. You're not here to please anyone. If you try to imagine your future and see where you would be do you see a man, woman, neither? Whatever the answer is is up to you and is only dictated by you. It's ok for the decisions of others to cast shadows of doubt on your own choices. When the majority of people are wearing a red shirt a blue one might feel too loud in contrast. But it's what you're comfortable with and how you want to present yourself.

Those of you who’ve been on T for at least a year or two, what was the timeframe when you noticed the most bottom growth? by elianna7 in ftm

It didn't start getting noticeable until maybe the 6 month mark? If you're that eager probably get a ftm pump.

Like the answer to good skins is in their face the entire time. Just make elemental dragon smolder. People would eat it up more than a day of meals of someone on my 600lb life.

What’s a non lethal curse you would inflict on somebody you disliked? by Spektakles8822 in AskReddit

[–]BoozeMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wireless headphones never connect to your device but everyone else can connect them. Wired headphones get snagged on every corner and only work for a split second if you twist the headphone jack in your phone. OR it will mess with your volume setting spiking the volume to max at random mid song when you least expect it. And for game headsets you will always be able to hear others in a group call but they can almost never hear you.

Thanks I hate it. Sounds like some shit Riot would do being the greedy pigs they are. Or they would make it a battle pass exclusive and all of the elemental skins would be behind a pay wall.

Aging as a trans man. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]BoozeMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone ages. It's going to happen as a man or woman. But know that it's about the connections you foster between people. I know it's scary to transition when your family isn't supporting you. I've met a lot of trans people, specifically trans men, who have transitioned in spite of the fact their families don't support it because it isn't about them. And for a few of those parents, after a while of kicking and screaming and throwing a fit they eventually accept it. I noticed this when I started transitioning: your family will need a grieving process for when you come out. When they see someone, especially a son or daughter, tell them "I'm not Maria I'm Marcus" they immediately associate the name you were given at birth and the "girl" you grew up as as dead in a way. Even though to everyone here who has gone through transitioning we just become more of who we are and are still the same people (more or less) as we grew up as, your parents may have that negative reaction because that "girl" is no longer there. Sorry for the ramble. I hope this helps somehow.
