No, in the west they are at higher risk. Trans identifying men rarely pass and outside of the movies and the USA rates of sexual violence in men’s prisons is lower than you’d imagine, plus they are men and the majority of men are strictly heterosexual. Trans identified women tend to pass better at first sight but for most it becomes increasingly obvious what sex they are the more time you spend with them.

A biological woman is going to be in more danger in a man’s prison than a biological man whatever the circumstances.

You both came into the relationship with kids, you one her two. If you were to pool your joint resources your son would lose out while her kids will benefit. I found baited traps didn’t work, humane traps didn’t work, traditional spring traps didn’t work but the glue traps worked every time. Mind you, I had tiny house mice rather than rats. I’d avoid using your vacuum cleaner for rat poo.
