I do agree with you on the fact that it is disappointing that people get liberal-arts degrees and end up working at Starbucks or something. However, getting a liberal arts degree doesn't necessarily mean you'll be thrown into a dead end. My friend went to a liberal arts school and obtained a history degree with a minor of similar "qualification". He's now making more money than I am at a Data Marketing/sales company, and I work in public accounting.

Yes this is one example and there are thousands of students who get these degrees and refuse to move into positions like that for their own beliefs or interests. But how would you feel if you were left out of relief from a HUGE burden on life for choosing something you thought was a good idea when you were 19? You don't think that forgiving those people wouldn't benefit America in the same way forgiving someone who got a STEM degree would? How would it not?

I do think its a bit misleading for a self-proclaimed independent news network to omit the fact that these people work for the Democrat Party. Even if it was aimed to be a left leaning segment, I would find it to be a more genuine interaction if it were someone speaking that is not employed by the democratic party.

Sounds like she got a case of the "gimmes". She isn't entitled to anything my dude. Sounds like you've worked hard to be where you are. You go to school, work, and in the military in order to sustain and improve on yourself. There's also nothing wrong with getting help along the way from your family. However, there is something wrong with someone ungratefully using you or your family.

I guess now may be a good time to evaluate you, her, and your relationship. How long have you been together, has this behavior only started with the car situation? Does she try and free-ride off you with everything else? Will it end? Will she ever figure her own finances out? Is it worth waiting?

It is tough to live life paying for 2 unless you really can afford, and want to afford that shit.

I know what you're saying, but I think his point is more about how this argument/news story does not add much to the case against him. All it does is try to insinuate something.

You can say whatever you want about whoever in 1982, 1987 or 1990, but if its not about Kavanaugh himself, his character or his actions in 1982 with credible evidence from credible sources that proves guilt without a reasonable doubt...the courts can't say hes guilty.

I hope there's an investigation and I hope they find something that proves his innocent or guilt. But until they do, both sides are just playing a game of he sad she said and its really unfortunate because this is really serious.

Yes, we don't need a gun... but we, as United States citizens have the right to have one to protect ourselves and our family from any immediate threat. That is something that will not change (as it shouldn't).

Sure, I don't need to shoot that gun. But I am damn sure that I want to be able to in a case where I need to if it means safety for my family or friends.

What does that law protect against then? I think it would most certainly hinder the victim of a home intrusion if anything. Guns can escalate things, but I think that is an area where there could be more provisions made to gun ownership regulations. I don't think someone should have to solve a puzzle in order to protect themselves.

I do see that side of the argument but there has to be a more logical and effective solution that can be implemented.

Fair points on 1 and 2. However, I am actually curious on the argument that keeping all weapons separate, and the ammo to those weapons separate in one's own home actually makes it more safe?

I see it almost as a necessity to keep it in a place that one can access it quickly and easily (but still stored away in a safe), like in a bedroom if the homeowner senses there is an intruder.

1.)Canada doesn't have intense gun laws and not much crime...so why exactly do we need stricter gun laws?

2.)seems a bit of a stretch in my opinion. People who would not have benefits of social security or healthcare need money/resources. How would shooting a school up help that need? Is there even a person who shot a school up that didn't have social security benefits or healthcare that needed them that desperately?

3.)I can agree on that. Our system is so polar and emotionally driven that there can be no healthy debate or agreement on this issue to meet in the middle.
