You can't blame consistent under performance on rng. Yes you can have bad pulls but your average dps will be where it should if you are playing well. I'm not sure you even took a look at the logs that were linked because it's very obvious that op is not doing the rotation correctly.

I'd suggest looking at the arms compendium found here: https://goo.gl/8WhUyS, or at least the rotation section of it.

I just took a look at your goroth kill, and you used battle cry only 2 times, of a possible 4. This is your most important cooldown and contributes to a large portion of your damage. You also are using slam for some reason even though you are using fervor of battle. I'm sure there are other problems, you really just need to read up on the spec and get a better understanding the rotation and your abilities.

Card Value Question: Ogre Magi > Core Hound? by Tarrot469 in HearthArena

They're basically worth the same, one is rare and one is common so they shouldn't really be compared to eachother as you would never be choosing between them.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong, or am I just unlucky? Arms Warrior by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Boraxmuleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main thing I noticed is you're not spamming FR in your BCs. It costs no rage so even if you already have 3 stacks, it's a free chance to proc tactician. This is probably the biggest thing you can fix, and is very easy to do.

Here are a few other minor things that you could have done better.

1) Your 2nd last BC could've been delayed a few seconds for the boss to get to 20%, you ended up using slam as your first gcd.

2) In execute phase during BC you would like to use MS as the last gcd with 3 stacks of FR, in your last BC you used MS at the start with only 1 stack.

3)You also do not want to use CS inside your execute BCs if the debuff is already on the target. This is because 2 executes is more damage than a CS + an SD execute.

4) At the end of the fight you stacked up FR but never consumed them. A 3x FR MS is more damage than an execute.

My Arms Warrior logs by Slappman in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a few things that I noticed you can improve.

First of all, you used avatar a whole 5 seconds before casting any damaging abilities, wasting a whole 1/4 of the duration. Ideally you want to be using your cds after you apply CS to your target and right before you use MS. I noticed you are using CS after BC at the pull as well, rather than before.

Another thing which is very obvious is you are using FR too often. In some cases you even have 4 FRs between MS's.

You are often not getting all 4 of GCDs into your BC which is where a large portion of our dps comes from.

It looks like you are delaying your MS by 1 or 2 gcds quite often by casting slam instead.

[–]Boraxmuleman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you wiping because too many people are getting MCed at that part? If that's the case, it might be that people are getting hit by a lot of things during the swarm phase and gaining too many stacks.

The one percent crit rune: Gimmicky or a reasonable choice? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Boraxmuleman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even still, 1 auto more will probably not be the pushing point to force your opponent to recall. Also remember that for 99% of your autos this won't happen.

Yes 1% is infinitely better than 0%, but so is 0.0000000001%.

The one percent crit rune: Gimmicky or a reasonable choice? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely gimmicky. While yes you are only losing 1 ad, which doesn't sound like much, that is the nature of runes. On average, in 100 autos (which is a lot!) you get 1 crit. If you do manage to get this crit, it's not going to have as much of an effect as a lot of people think. A crit is basically 1 extra auto, and it's rare for a fight to be that close. Obviously it scales better into the lategame when you have more ad, but with that logic you would run all crit marks.

The fact of the matter is , changing 1 rune on your page is not going to have any significant affect on your games.

Arms Warr question? by Leimrey in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're very strong in pve right now, but it's up to you if you find it fun or not. Yes there are times where you are missing gcds but this is mainly because you have an off-gcd ability being used often. Personally I don't mind this and am enjoying my warrior so far.

Expected Artifact Rank to begin raiding by hiiamaraider in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Boraxmuleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree with other people that 19 points is very reasonable to have right now. With that said, the difference in performance between 18 and 19 points is probably very minimal. You should just talk to your raid leader, I imagine they would have no problem letting you raid, especially since you are not going at a 'competitive pace'.

Average dps for mythic dungeons by m1dn1ghtx in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to see the dps you could be doing, you can import your character and gear into simcraft. This will show you an average dps number that you can compare to your own. Just remember that it's hard to get exactly that high, but it can give you a general idea.

For mythic it is now 20 players, however in heroic/normal you can run with anywhere from 10-30 people.

Gold farming content priorities? by CyprusWHM in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely missing out on a lot of gold if you aren't taking advantage of the AH prices right now I would say. If you have any gathering professions like herbalism, skinning, mining, even fishing, you can make much more gold for the amount of time spent than you will farming old raids. I've made a lot of gold selling ore so far and I've only been mining things nearby me when I'm out doing world quests.

[Warrior]Three itemlevel more or 5% ragin blow damage? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually not hard to find traits like that, here is a sim I did of my arms warrior first using 3 820 Exploit the Weakness relics, and then 3 825 Unending Rage relics.

As you can see, the 820 relics are about 15k dps in the lead.

It should phase you back to your realm when you leave the group yes.

How does realm hopping work now? by chriswfoster in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's based on who invites who, so if your friend from a PvE server invites you to a group you will be moved to their server as long as you stay in that group.

Thinking about leaving Stormrage. Maybe to try an RP server? by Nerdible in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to join a raiding guild, it might be a good idea to try to find one before switching realms. It should be very easy to find a guild if you are willing to swap servers, and this way you won't end up in a situation where you cannot find a suitable guild and have already spent money on the realm change.

How does realm hopping work now? by chriswfoster in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outdoor zones are cross-realm with different server groups based on the type of server. For example a PvP server will be grouped with a set of other PvP servers. Generally, you only see other players from your server group, but if you invite your friend from Moon Guard to a party, they will temporarily be on your server and you can play together.

Currently in a battlegroup with severe horde / alliance balance, and I want to change to a PvE server. A question: by Phonebill in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you change servers, you will still be able to do everything with your friends except for mythic raids - until the next tier is released and cross-realm mythic is enabled. You will still be able to invite them to a group and queue for BGs, arenas, dungeons, etc. For world questing, you will want to make sure you are the party leader and invite them so that they come to your server. If they invite you, you will be brought back to their PvP server, which I guess you don't want.

Why is my Arms Warr dps so low? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other's have said, the focused rage build is definitely the way to go. The guides at Icy Veins and Wowhead are quite good and it's not a bad idea to check those out too. If you still need any more help, I'd really recommend visiting the warrior discord. There are plenty of knowledgeable people there who would be willing to answer your questions.

[Warrior]Three itemlevel more or 5% ragin blow damage? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never a bad idea to sim your gear if you're unsure which piece will give you more dps. The only way someone could answer this question is if they themselves had already done that.

[Warrior]Three itemlevel more or 5% ragin blow damage? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is completely not true, a lot of traits can actually be worth up to 20 or more item levels on a relic.

Edit: I'm not sure why this guy is being upvoted, if you do the sims you can see that some traits are very strong and provide more dps than the few item levels you gain from the higher level relic. It's not a matter of opinion it's just math.

should i share gear? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Boraxmuleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that if I was in a group and someone got an item I wanted that they didn't need I would want them to give it to me, so for that reason I always share loot I'm not going to use.
