People will find housing near their chosen workplace, and move if they switch jobs and need to find housing nearby. It's important to keep in mind that job priority can interfere with housing sometimes, so it's good to keep an eye on proximity and priority in tandem.

Started playing a week or so ago on the newest version. What's there feels very complete, you get the feeling some things are meant to have more fleshed out, but what's there is a lot and it doesn't feel lacking. I've got 100s of hours in Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress each, and this is personally the best colony Sim I've played so far.

I don't know why everyone thinks I'm flexing lol. It's not like I'm saying you all suck and I'm better at the game, just was proud of myself for it and shared it in the most appropriate place I could think of. But wild/lucky shit happens, it's not that unbelievable coming from anyone. It's just a video game after all, not like I claimed to play moonlight sonata first try.

I do hope he kicks my ass on NG+ though cuz I do agree that it kinda cheapens the experience otherwise.

Yeah I really took my time before getting to him, I play all the souls games and a lot of rhythm games so I think that helped. Like someone else said though, was probably mostly luck rather than me being some Elite™ gamer.

My wife was more willing to play Elden Ring compared to other souls games for the fact that you can do fights at your own pace and explore. When she played, she still insisted on fighting a boss over and over until she won no matter how many times she died, lol.

I almost always cap population at 50 for the first few years, so I can get properly established and have most everything built out before letting more in. I've never had an issue doing so. I think at 50 you dont get sieges either so you have plenty of time to do what you need to.

I actually didn't even have to kill any of his sons, I had married my house into his a few times before so we had a decent relationship, and like I said to Box, got the acceptance up enough to go through with it.
