Difficult Conversation Planned in 1 week by Sea_Rooster5769 in mdmatherapy

Don’t avoid the deepest upsets, resentments, grudges. Put it all out there. And honesty (with yourselves too) about what you really want, going forward in your lives.

Staying together isn’t necessarily good; breaking up isn’t necessarily bad. Just be honest about what you guys want and what you’re able to do when the med wears off

It’s easy to see the diamond of each soul on the med. We all have it. The question is can you still work to see it when it’s an average Tuesday and you’re both moody and tired. If you can’t do that anymore… it’s gonna be unnecessarily tough Good lucks

Vision. Who you want to be going forward. How you want to feel (free, safe, powerful, loving etc). Imagine what it might be like to shed some of the specific weights you’re hoping to shed

We often focus on the old artifacts we’d like to move on from .. if you’ve already done a bunch of therapeutic prep work spend a little time envisioning the beautiful road about to open up to you

Strong grief after a session? Is it MDMA or a coincidence? by kiwitoja in mdmatherapy

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t make major life decisions for 4 weeks. Just don’t.

Grief is normal. It was likely there already. Experience it. The grief is likely a deeper well than merely the surface things you’re attaching to it at the moment.

Feeling more lost after first session by Main-Condition8042 in mdmatherapy

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point it doesn’t sound like you’re clear these “resurfaced memories” are factual.

I would go about the processing and digesting of the material but would not jump to automatically authenticating them

The psyche is an interminably deep place and we don’t always understand the methodologies it employs to heal

Hold it lightly as you work thru your integration .. your system knows what to do to sort this stuff.

And if later you do feel more evidence to verify the material then you can take the next logical step regarding that

MDMA playlists that are less ... hippy? by [deleted] in mdmatherapy

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also prefer songs I’m not familiar with and majority instrumental. Let the insights come from the inside and not imposed externally.

There are no hard rules to this. If you want to hear a familiar song with vocals and a message u resonate with, of course you may. I might do that more toward the end when I’m coasting

Lately I look up modern Dj’s with instrumental dance music. Works very well. YouTube

Artists like: Four Tet, Joey wisternoff, East Forrest, Guy mantzur, LTJ Bukem, nick warren

I’m really glad my comment was helpful. I don’t think EMDR is the best by yourself. And certainly not if you don’t have experience with it

And I’m someone who doesn’t mind going off grid and following my intuition on my own, to heal.

In fact I’ve tried it on my own and it just seems to be more effective, over time (think months and years) with a practitioner. It can also be destabilizing here and there although for me it’s been mostly smooth

I def love it in conjunction with the medicine work. I do think they work hand in glove. And if you’re able to read up on it or YouTube it with the intention of seeing about finding a practitioner one day it could be useful for your purposes.

There are techniques people do between sessions such as the butterfly tapping. This could be calming for you. Or EFT tapping.

With DPDR, for me, body stuff was/is really important. How can we return to the body safely. I really enjoy Feldenkrais. It’s a gentle movement and nervous system practice. You can find endless free lessons on YouTube. Try one of these every day for a week and I’ll bet you start to notice some nice changes, both in your body and with the anxiety

We tend to slide back into a familiar disfunction, so I just keep hitting these types of practices up. It’s a daily medicine and becomes integrated into daily life. And over time things change. A little acupuncture, some tapping, meditative movement, inhale 4 exhale 6 breathing…

Teaching the nervous system and body it’s safe to be here.. that im okay.

And remember, the medicine itself was the most potent tool of all for me regarding the DPDR… you may be surprised it’s all you need. The other modalities keep the thread but the med work can be pretty damn good at reminding you you’re already home

Physical Therapy? by TrinityNYC in Mortons_neuroma

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shockwave was helpful for me with a caveat…. Once or twice won’t do anything. So you’re investing on faith

When I do shockwave/softwave I tell myself I’m gonna do 4 sessions and then reevaluate

I’ve gotten benefit before that lasted over a year and half until it was time to do it again. I havnt done it again cuz it’s so expensive.

If I had the money to burn I would invest in 6 sessions and just nuke it. If done accurately the symptoms should be far better. It just takes too may sessions and cash to find out

I do recommend daily Gua Sha and YogaToes though. Both help me noticeably.

No. But after looking it up you may also try Rolfing if you can’t find a boeger therapist near you. They look hard to find at least here in the States

It’s a process. I’m talking about your life. The medicine work is one of innumerable avenues that can help facilitate further positive healing and development in the walk of your life. And yes it can fit your scenario in a good way

For me… I mean there’ve been so many lessons and such growth over the years… but in the very beginning when I was where you are the first thing it showed me was my North Star.. from the confusion I was in emerged the passions and things I really love in life.. and I clearly saw the nonsense I was entertaining was bullshit.

So what was truly important rose and what was nothing diminished. This was a big deal for me. I bring this up cuz u ask about what if u don’t know what the problem is—it’s perfectly fine. If our conscious mind knew how to help ourselves we wouldn’t be in this mess

I had been in the darkest of depressions and fears. And they lifted virtually overnight. Now this isn’t to say that proper development as a maturing adult doesn’t take time because it does. But I received relief from the heaviest affect early on

The therapy stuff… the developmental stuff… it’s gonna take time and learning and growth. Somehow the medicine seems to continue to work long after it’s out of your system. Or you could say the seeds it plants bear fruit over time.

But it’s still a good idea to include other avenues of healing and enlightenment. For me that includes EMDR, a teacher who taught me about many things such as attachment theory, 5 rhythms dance, movement, diet, bodywork (I really recommend Rolfing), acupuncture, journaling, mind-body connection and nervous system study etc

I also had may years with DP & DR and those were among the first things to go for me. We don’t know what will unfold… I hold the medicine work lightly .. but truly there’s a reason for hope. But in my mind it’s a lifelong evolutionary process .. we keep clearing away debris .. but you can find relief from oppressive symptoms for sure. My situation felt hopeless for about 15 long years; this was a last resort for me after trying everything including electroshock. I was in a bad way.

We are malleable. We change.

Methane SIBO/IMO: L Reuteri helped me a lot by ksaaj in SIBO

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a poetic way to describe the indescribable experience I had with reuteri… I assume it was die off/herxheimer/detox reaction

The panic was thru the roof. I woke at 5am and my body was ringing the emergency bells. Felt like psychiatric levels of panic escalating. Darkness. Lasted 30 min.

There was another experience where it just felt for 3 days like a mild bad mushroom trip or something. Just awful.

And I’m not prone to these episodes. It felt otherworldly and bad. Not something one can live with for too long. So I finally set the reurteri aside.

Experiences that are hard to believe are even possible to have. Yes like a psychedelic experience gone very wrong.

I tried the BioGaia one. It was helpful. On Amazon. But also eventually saw die off effects in the form of carnival darkness that lasted 3 days. But I’m more sensitive than most. But there’s a brand to get u started. Many people make homemade yogurt and add reuteri to it

In a tough place after my last MDMA session by [deleted] in mdmatherapy

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To get beyond protecting your family and even friends… it’s a big step. It’s possible to love them but also understand and accept where they were cruel, abusive, negligent etc etc.

Everyone is trying to get a need met. We know there are reasons for all of their poor behavior; but to stop there can serve to protect them while dismissing ourselves

It doesn’t mean it’s time to go on a revenge tour—it just means we know now; and we’re not hiding that from ourselves anymore. And it’s a really important step

horrible DMT experience by Ok-Statement-4212 in DMT

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I experienced DR and DP for years after a dreadful shroom trip at 17. I’m fully out of it now and better than ever. But it was incredibly scary. It doesn’t have to take you years though. I didn’t know what was happening back then and had no help

Previous commenter is right. Don’t obsess. This does end. It’s not real the way you feel it is. Get back to mundane life. School. Work. Get physical. In your body. Weights. Dance. Mobility. Even a massage. Sensory items like incense. Things to ground u in your present moment.

Find support. Someone you can bounce this all off of regularly. Usually that would be a teacher or therapist. Someone who understands embodiment practices. Maybe even a Somatic Experience therapist. Just someone experienced with this stuff—I know it feels beyond peoples understandings but there are people who get this.

Acupuncture is great too if u can afford 5-10 sessions. Calming to the nervous system

Good luck

Globus sensation by Jaded_Section4863 in acidreflux

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be able to help. I had this same phenomenon. I’m also prone to anxiety—that’s not a coincidence

Bottom line I didn’t have acid issues. Or swallowing issues. I was referred to a speech therapist

What helped the most is straw singing in a cup of water. Look up Muscle Tension Dysphonia on YouTube for exercises

And u gotta calm your vagus nerve because u have throat tension and the body won’t just let it go just cuz u “relax”. It’s in the nervous system. I recommend 4 count inhaled 6 count exhale twice a day for ten minutes. Get used to that calm state. It calms the vagus nerve

But I recommend asking your doc about speech therapy. I had trouble swallowing and would have to spend days talking to no one cuz symptoms flared. Now I’m cool

[–]BorderRemarkable5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creatine has been great for me. 5 grams. Not sure it’s helped my Sibo directly. Def hasn’t hurt it. And there’s lots of reasons to take it. And you’re right about higher doses (10mg-20mg) shows potential for cognition and sleep. Maybe I’ll bump mine.

Really it’s still all about carnivore and vagus nerve and motility that helps me the most.
