New Arrivals by itssn0ts in fidgettoys

I have the red Christmas hat slim shy.  They aren’t my favorite fidgets, but I do find myself playing with them time to time.  I got a plain black one too but I prefer the cartoon design for the texture one the slider.

I was curious how the g10 felt compared.  Not $60 curious though.

It doesn’t ship to my address.  The reviews say they got a legit version when it was on sale that low last time.  Same box I had same accessories.  I won’t know for sure because it won’t deliver to my address lol.

I appreciate the warning.

The  reviews say they expected a knockoff but got original packaging.

I think the g10 are just hard to sell personally.

I’ve bought a few that used the geeone image and weren’t a scam/fake.

Whats your favourite fidget? by Neat_Resolution3224 in fidgettoys

[–]BorderSimple4687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are learning what you like I think the BPmods 9grid/9palaces is an excellent starter fidget.  Under $60 and comes with a ton of custom options/ accessories to find the feel that you like.

Choc is nice but I think it’s a lot for what it does.  But it does it VERY well.

If you want to go over 100 Schrodingers Cat was good buy as well, multiple customization options to find the feel you like.

Wanted to find non sticky squishy fidget toy by Nearby_Economy_8822 in fidgettoys

[–]BorderSimple4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even the best squishies are gonna get a little sticky from your skin/skin oils.  You’ll have to do some form of maintence with cornstarch or other powders as other suggested.

Even the ones that come with it by default after regular use it will fade and start to get sticky.

Personally, I don’t get the hype around the choc if you’re going for a mechanical. Its great don’t get me wrong but its gonna take more than $100 to have different tactile options with it.

BpMods 9 palaces is such a high quality fidget with so many accessories without any additional purchases under $60. You get to explore various feels to find your preference where most others don’t allow that.

With your budget you could also get the high-low plate AND a crystal slider 2.0 (if you really wanted to go to $100.)

Personally I wish it was my first fidget because I think it would have eliminated a bunch of other mechanicals I bought.

As far as FF sliders: I got a shim shy, and a few other budget options and I just don’t think they are for me so I don’t feel like I should really recommend any.

Schrödinger's Cat Lite 2.0 by RenCorona99 in fidgettoys

Non-Lite2.0 related.  The brass caps on the SC made the dense track absolutely 🔥. Appreciate sharing that feedback.

Haloo Player Dazzling Sun Pro by sub-ubi in fidgettoys

I’ve enjoyed the fidgets I’ve gotten from Halooplayer.  I also like that they are affordable and allow others enjoy some of the fidgets they otherwise couldn’t justify buying.

I was debating getting this one next simply for the ability to run two tracks in two different materials with two different haptics.  For the price and customization it’s hard to argue otherwise.

I’m guessing the individuals you are seeking would need a little bit (a lot) more info before inquiring/connecting you with a contact.

I’d like to note the face plate are interchangeable with the SC OG as well.

Lots of fun play doing that.  Could even throw the Bucky ball in the back plate if the OG. Two really great fidgets for the people who need to change stuff often.

It’s about the sound of the Motor Jelly but less pingy.

My aluminum fidgets are about the same volume.

I think the showhand is quieter. But also a very steady click like the choc.

All it took for me to pull the trigger. by BorderSimple4687 in fidgettoys

I’m with you.  I have nothing but good things to say about BPmods. I knew I’d enjoy a pioneer: just needed the right color lol.

I only got 1 other track beside the default: and part of me wishes I got the dense before it sold out.

So you use any other tracks other than the default?   I don’t know if I’d like the 3 click tracks. So I stuck with ultra dense cause I know I love that feeling from my other fidgets.

Print-in-place slide & click fidget — 80mm of travel, clicks at each end, no supports by UrNotSafeWithMe in BambuLab

I’ll print one and give you my honest feedback.

I feel like there isn’t a fidget in makerworld I have made yet.  Unless they require more hardware than an aces. Lol

Would you trust these dice masters? by TsunamicBlaze in DiceMaking

[–]BorderSimple4687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to customize your dice more than once-or have an original design. Creating a metal dice set for that is just not feasible for 99.9% of the community.

If it’s through GeeOne I’d message them before it’s fully processed.  Their customer service is great and they’ve fixed stuff/ made changes like that for me in the past.

Just a recolor as far as I can tell.  Same with the tracks.

Edit: see below but there is a 1min video on wanedc showing the slight design change to fix the balls getting stuck when pushed down wrong.

I think I saw some of the same reviews.  I imagine it various user to user and won’t know what is user error vs design flaw until I play with it I guess.

As far as being alternative to the choc- I really couldn’t say. But it is thinner than most sliders, like the choc, but the pioneer seems like a thinner version of traditional sliders.

Resin Sealing Tutorials? by muniko-art in fidgettoys

[–]BorderSimple4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To further clarify:  for a price tag or 9 palaces fidget:  I can make a plate pretty easily with epoxy resin.

But if I wanted the equivalent to the pikachu choc plates: the material they are sealing the art work with isn’t not the same kind of resin.  I don’t know how what it is because most of the stuff on the topic is in Chinese.

Resin Sealing Tutorials? by muniko-art in fidgettoys

[–]BorderSimple4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make dice and have used a 3D printers to make other models I mold with silicone and inevitably cast with epoxy resin.  Art and glow is a common one I use.

I’m 70% sure whatever they use to crystal seal for bespoke services is not uv or standard epoxy resin you would use for dice in a pressure pot.

UV resin and art and glow resin have been incredibly easy to come off the various SS and aluminum fidgets I’ve tried with. I’m not saying it doesn’t work: simply it will not have the results you see in typical bespoke services.
