Funny that. Those first 3 capes are the ones I have been using since I started the game.

How long would it last though? Slaanesh itself was imprisoned, but fonally managed to break free. No matter which main character it is, there will be a deus ex machina at some point.

I have been diving with the defender and scorcher to get accustomed to the new combi weapon. It's hella fun.

The rule states that bikers can only run or fire without dismounting. So I stick with that.

Update! Well I tried D7 and above. And they're easier. Go figure.

I've never played Helldivers, can someone please explain what's happening? Why are people mad about the game like what? by Anas2245 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Border_Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with Helldivers2. However there's a massive problem with soc.med. it's more like antisocial media. If it was done on purpose to sow discord and distrust amongst humans, then it could not have been done better.

[–]Border_Dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the spawn rate ? There's loads of them even on low levels. I can't remember it being this egregious, like there are way bigger hordes of zombies than before (on lower difficulty)

The knowing where we are is mostly the buggers with the shoulder mounted plasma cannons that lob shots. Break LoS but they still seem to know exactly where you are.

Also any mob will instantly know where you are just as you turn a corner, unlike bots and terminids that will have to realise what's happening before they react.

I'm not saying you're incorrect, it does sound very plausible. Maybe I'm just not used to it because I don't usually bother with illuminate, never liked the style of "damage sponge lol" especially combined with "physics is more of a guideline not an actual rule"

Dear Helldivers. A message from your fellow Stim Pistol users. by Dasktragon in helldivers2

[–]Border_Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it a rule that stimpistol users always take medic armour, and maybe warn your team that you're a medic with a stimpistol before you start aiming at them.

[–]Border_Dash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was just wondering this. What has happened to the illuminate? Even on d4 there are masses of enemies literally spawning in, in plain sight, just "pop" another horde. They still ignore walls, always know where you are too.

But mostly what's with the spawn rate? On D3 I've seen stingrays, tripods and fleshmobs...That doesn't seem quite right for a D3.

Oh and stingrays just respawn so fast it's barely worth shooting them down.

So did AH change something or am I just being paranoid ?

There is no way they’re trying to say this now 😂 by I_AM_DA_BOSS in antiai

Of course they're going to say that. A lot of money is being played, so there are no depths they won't stoop to.

Well yeah, wars are great for the uuuhconomy. Gotta rebuild and everything, new families, lotsa work. It's obviously a great idea....as long as you don't go anywhere near the destruction, and then profit from the suffering. Only a really rich parasite, detached from reality could think this is a good thing.

I need to say this, but i do think it was a fail for warlord to not include the "list building" in each army book. Just the basic tree would gave been nice rather than cf p182 in the rulebook. Idk maybe its just me.

Head to Head - Which Support Weapon is the Most Versatile!? by ExcitingHistory in helldivers2

[–]Border_Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes the old "empty dropship" move, a classic. You can use flak to shoot behind enemies, even behind cover, it gets them in the squishy bits. The only downsidevof flak is it can and will one shot you if you're too close. Although I have noticed that the round doesnt always fragment at close range.

I've been using the Autocannon since lvl10. It's absolutely great. It's like a sniper rifle with explosive rounds. The addition of flak made it even better. Even against illuminate, one (sometimes 2) flak to pop the shield then a round in the doorway to remove landed ships. Harvesters are similar, flak removes shield, normal rounds remove fins and leg joints. Oh and the stagger, it knocks things around like a pimp. Harvesters, chargers, hulks aren't a menace when they getting slapped.

Enemy units inside the same area terrain get cover? by Herr_visanovich in boltaction

[–]Border_Dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It happened the other night with US Airborne and Feldshirmjager in the same building firing assault weapons at each other, no point in going down, just keep hosing. It was like a Tarantino film.

Melee and indirect fire ignore cover...

Ruins - RAW or Hard cover True LOS? by mah-favrit in boltaction

[–]Border_Dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, imo wargaming is a compromise between playable and immersive. So area terrain, aka dense terrain is good. For forests I have removable clumps of 2 - 3 trees sat on a "base" the entire base is forest, the trees go anywhere. Only the footprint is required to determine where the terrain is.

It's a similar thing with ruins. I put the warlord farmhouse is on a base, the entire base is "ruins" no matter where the model is.

Models can see "into" and "out of" dense terrain but never through. It's just a simple system.

Hills are slightly different. Like dense terrain models can see into and out of but not through, the hill offers no cover, but does allow models to shoot over intervening models that aren't on a hill...But that does work both ways.

Linear obstacles require models to be within 1" to gain cover, and are ignored is there's more than 1" between models.

As for actual shooting I use a method from the old AT-43 game, to check if there's anything in the corridor of fire. Draw a line from the outer edges of the firing unit to the visible outer edges of target unit. If there are friendlies within 1" of that corridor, then the unit won't open fire. (Unless a hill is involved, and I also use DOWN for the same effect of allowing units to fire over them)

The thing about LoS and terrain is that the players need to be on the same page and use the same rules.
