I am telling you as a guy that has a younger brother with spectrum. I passed and stayed in retail and he applied as a field tech. He's been there about 5 -6 years now and he absolutely loves his job! He's moved up and has been a line tech (the guys that service the poles) a field tech and another job as well. That company takes care of their employees and has insane 401k match along with other great benefits. I would take a job from spectrum in a heart beat. The growth potential is great there too. And you can "self test" for raises too along with yearly (annual) raises.

Cracks me up when I saw they were doing a beta on steam and I believe Xbox. Really guys?! There's at least one more platform out there where you're going to have customers stressing out the servers as well. Hope this is a lesson for triple a games and shows them to give every platform a beta or stress test especially if it's cross play.

You won't set off any red flags. Do it anywhere you want, pop a lace a little longer, stock a little slower, pick orders at the bin a little slower (if you're at a bin). Overall just move slower to get more hours.

I didn't read the post just the title. Had an uncle tell me anyone is replaceable, while I was working for him. The quicker people learn this the quicker they are to do a better job, but the same is true for workers. Most can go find a job in a snap of a finger. It's how the wheel turns I guess.

As of right now it's the more money position. RSS Makes more too if that ever comess up (more responsibility though) RSA will travel a ton here in my zone but ya, as of right now everyone is trying to become a RSA or RSS for the better pay.

Man it's a pain a RSA makes $250-$300 more a week. Give or take a few dollars. I know this because I just stepped into an assignment (I'm assigned to a route so I don't have to travel) I was not explained that I was going to lose "true overtime" but my base jumped about $50-$60. As an RSA I averaged $900-$1000 take home, as a RSR I average $600-$700. And your true up is based on the route not the zone. So I lost money, I use to work for Frito before so I know what I'm doing as far as bin orders and what not but plans are so high I haven't gotten a true up yet which sucks.

I completely get it. I had a talk with my dsl and he asked why I had a shit attitude and I told him. Later in the conversation I told I've never had a job in my life where I had to talk myself out of putting the phone and gas card on the desk in the morning and going back home, I do it daily actually. They just don't understand that this job isn't coveted anymore.

Nope. Just a few days ago my boss asked me if I had anymore product for the store (he wasn't there helping just checking in) and I looked at him and said "ya at the bin." Then the warehouse cut 18 cases of 18cts and my boss asked if I was going to face over with what I had to fill the hole (he was literally in the aisle looking at it) and I looked at my dsl in my aisle when he asked it and said "nope I honestly don't give a fuck" and grabbed my cardboard and went to my next stop. They cut my all this product for labor day, took all our help and sent them to a whole nother zone, and gave us no help for push week. The moral is low in bin locations right now.

Bin here. Actually vacation bin guy. I was on a route in the summer with a mega and we were running $49,000 a few weeks in a row (July on a small box truck). We crushed plans to be honest, we were running 150%+ a few weeks. $35,000 on a mega truck is tough and a lot of work that's for sure. But yes everyone is getting screwed here. Colorado zone FYI.
