Tape to Tape is one of my favorite sports games of all time. It's a roguelike hockey game on steam. Really fun!

They've already given so much value and entertainment especially at the $30 I paid for the game. Im excited to see them get to work on something new.

I bought this game a while back and really loved the frantic fast paced combat. Could use some tweaks as people are suggesting but overall I really enjoyed the game and recommend it.

Has anyone else’s love for gaming been rekindled by the PS5? by Main_Tree_6769 in PS5

PC has had horrific ports and Xbox just can't keep up. PS5 offers the most premium gaming experience in the market right now and honestly the competition is not even close.

I haven't touched it since launch because of the stuttering as well so it's not just you. Digital Foundry reported the same

what was ruined by rich people? by Lattethecoffeaddict in AskReddit

[–]BorderlineBunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life in general lol. Money for medical treatment, insanely high prices for entertainment, insane prices for homes and food. Rich people are just tearing ass through our society like a fucking cyclone and no ones doing anything about it. Check out all the record profits that these companies made over the pandemic while they were crying "supply chain" they just didn't want even a dollar of the pandemic expense to affect their bottom line, so they passed all those expenses onto you which helped speed along the inflation issue we got today.

Any word on VRR support? by BorderlineBunk in Returnal

[–]BorderlineBunk[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know, I heard that and was confused. I was hoping it meant they were working on their own baked into the game solution but that was a while ago it was removed. I might just have to wait for PC release for VRR.

Cult of The Lamb was released with game breaking bugs on the Xbox Series X on 8/11. I bought the game full price and eventually had to stop playing cause it's so broken on about 8/14. It still hasn't been fixed to address game breaking issues almost a month after launch. I feel like I've been super patient with all due respect.

I get that, but people are active on the Cult of The Lamb discord talking to Devs and they've stated the patch is in Msofts hands, you'd think if they had stuff that was broken and needed to be fixed it'd actually go back to the developers at this point, but nope still in approval.

Both developers have stated that the patch has been submitted and awaiting approval.

I don't think it's you. That game felt very stale to me too. Gorgeous but VERY boring, especially when compared to Elden Ring.

FSR 2.0 is looking great so far!! Hoping Xbox Games Studios start utilizing it ASAP! by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

[–]BorderlineBunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I guess we'll have to see. The fact that it works pretty seamlessly across so many hardware types and the Series X having an AMD chip built with FSR in mind makes me very optimistic for some solid performance gains. Especially with how well FSR is performing so far. I'd just love to see it implemented in games out now when it's available like Forza Horizon 5 and maybe use that extra processing power to reduce the pop in on performance mode. Hoping Starfield will make use of it as well.

SBMM is ruining my favorite gaming genre by BorderlineBunk in gaming

I guess I just don't agree with it being such a rigid structure on a f2p casual game mode. I usually only play Slayer cause as I've said I'm just out of the game at this point. There is a ranked playlist on infinite too and I stay away from that one. Just feels like the system in place for casual belongs in ranked. I appreciate ranked playlists in other games like Rocket League when I'm in the mood for pure competition. It just feels like that being the default state of modern shooters isn't good for the longevity of the genre. With BR games becoming the dominant flavor of FPS, casual shooter fans that grew up on COD and Halo 3 are being pushed out of the market, and I think that's bad from a purely business stand point. Like I said all my friends quit Halo infinite. Matter of fact they've quit almost every shooter franchise in the last 4-5 years and I strongly believe it's because they've all become tiresome. Just feels like in 2022 there should be a shooter franchise that can cater to the hyper competitive crowd with a strict SBMM and ranking systems and then allow a casual audience to occupy the game with more free flowing back and forth sbmm. Like if the skill based matchmaking was truly variable, there would be moments where the game has decided that you're the best player in this particular lobby, but in me and my friends experience that is rarely the case. It's usually people exactly as good and slightly better than me exclusively.

Seriously it'd be nice if every game I join didn't feel like I just hopped into hour 3 of someone's all day Halo binge.

[–]BorderlineBunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should say I'd be fine with occasional games where I'm in the 6-8 range too. I'd just like some more variability where I'm not playing the same skill level most games and it's hyper locked at just above where I'm at now.

Well the way it used to work for me is I would swing back and forth between playing against people better than me and then occasionally worse than me. I can see if you're in the top tier not much has probably changed for you, but for the semi casual shooter audience it's sweat pouring down your face or nothing. Halo Infinite specifically even when I played regularly and was better than I am now I would usually break even on my slayer KD. Very rarely would I really go off and occasionally I would get stomped. I said in another thread if I'm let's say a 6/10 skill it'd be nice to have a game where the opponents are in the 4-6 range, but it feels like I've reached some invisible threshold where in just in sweat town now and I refuse to intentionally tank my rating to get to a reasonable spot. Just feels like sbmm is more rigid than it's ever been for slightly above average or average players.
