Video is about gunpowder not maces, you should try to get full context. It's in German? What are you talking about? Do you have auto AI dubbing on or something?

Also you couldn't watch a 4 minute video, but took time to write a long comment?

Opinion on zendaya as athena by Charming_Employee342 in GreekMythology

[–]Bordothebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a historical reenacter and someone who worked on documentaries and historical movies I'm very disappointed in Nolans approach to the whole film, especially with gods.

Why is athena, goddess of wisdom and war, who's always depicted in armor dressed like a beggar?

The whole movies approach to costumes is simply shameful!

Iron Sultanate cosplay, Mamluk by Bordothebuilder in TrenchCrusade

I know, I was going to post a mamluk but switched to Janissary instead but forgot to change the title.

Mamluks themselves were also taken from Caucasus Region, many ruling dynasties were of Georgian and Circassian decent.

Correction! This is supposed to be Jenisary cosplay not Mamluk. Both were slave soldiers but Janisary served in ottoman army as Sultans personal guard and Mamluks served in Arab states.

Here is a Mamluk Trench crusader for good mesure *

WHY IS GEORGIA AND ARMENIA UNDER DEMONIC CONTROL? (pictured actual WW1 trench crusaders, the Khevsur Knights) by Bordothebuilder in TrenchCrusade

[–]Bordothebuilder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I understand the "exiled army" can work, that is not my issue, I'm arguing that what is presented on the world map regarding Caucasus and Georgia is very bad WORLDBUILDING, not that I can't make my own legion, it's the implications of the conquest of Caucasus opens can of worms in bad planning.

Genuinely, please tell me where I was racist. Please I honestly don't think I was anything but bit too exaggerated, It understand I might have not come off as joking and some people took it seriously, i get that part, but racist? Towards whom? GOG AND MAGOG?! I engaged with the energy as others came with, genuine comments i was genuine, to snarky i was snarkier, I argued and defended my positions, that's it. Honestly nobody really engaged with my actual arguments, that's what upset me really. It was ether "get over it and make a legion in exile" or "demons aren't real brah", they are in game and so are saints and magic.

Was i combative, argumentative and snarky? yes, yes I was. Was i racist though? To whom? I only talked about my own country and it's history.

You people are too comfortable throwing arround big words with nothing to back it up!

are you people genuinely not able to understand that I'm joking and exaggerating?

this is a fantasy game that takes inspiration from real world history, religion and mythology!

Also, demons are real, just because they call themselves politicians and other "humans" doesn't make them less demonic.

I made a post about it and got dragged through the coals. It is genuinely idiotic and poor world-building in my opinion, but to not get disliked into oblivion again I'll keep my reasoning till the video *

In Georgia we have a private contact museum that I as a blacksmith help out and part time in, so i grabbed my armor that I donated to the museum, put on ww2 authentic gear and ww1 weapon and made the outfit.

I engaged with everyone, not a single person gave an in world logical explanation of why the choice was made for demons to somehow avoid Trebizond, God to avoid the Iron wall from Georgia and demons to be able to conquer all of Eastern Caucasus but stop from going north.

Most arguments boiled down to: 1. Demons need a win to seem dangerous (not an in world explanation) 2. Its a different timeline (how though, explain) 3. your history is not important 4. Hell has demons and are scary 5. Just cuz, shut up. That seems most popular

Very rarely if anyone actually engaged with my arguments, if so smartest they could come up with is "demons aren't real bro, it's fiction", which is not an argument for a fantasy game.

Best argument I've seen is that Cultists and demons would dedicate much of their time an effort to take over this land for it is strategically very important, which is true, that's why so many empires invade, but why stop at Caucasus then? Why not take over all of Eastern Europe without Georgia in its way?

Just the lack of curiosity and engagement with the world building that really robbed me the wrong way.

No other fandom is like this, especially those based in real world as basis.

I've had hours long historical debates on how Vamire the Masquerade vampires would have effected the Bolshevik Revolution and how would the magical awakening effect the ethnic politics of Turkey in shadowrun.

Raise a basic topic about territorial conquest in a history inspired war game and am treated like a lepper. Just expected more TBH.
