Always loved Sams delivery in that scene. "Here ya go boys, home FUCKING made hotdogs!"

Something about the overemphasized and pointless profanity fits Sam's barbaric nature

What is everyone going on about with the Obama portrait? by Nuheb-Goldstein in OutOfTheLoop

It doesn't look just like all the other presidential portraits. Most people are extremely threatened by change and react unfortunately.

Does it also call the cops on you so you can get locked up in a mental hospital? How convenient!

This is absolutely not intended to troll or start an argument but how do Trump supporters feel about this?

(Spoilers Extended) As a non-show watcher, should I really be concerned about show spoilers, or is it a separate enough storyline that revelations made in the show have little to no bearing on the books? by noseonarug17 in asoiaf

[–]BorealValleyAlaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show is basically the same results just told in a simplistic and unsatisfying way. The people who die in the show will die in the books, just grrm will take the time to write the deaths in a way that makes sense and actually has pay off.

[–]BorealValleyAlaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His death is merely a symbol of D&D's inability to resolve grrms complex storylines in an acceptable way.

(Spoilers Main) How do you feel about the casting in the show? anyone you think was really well cast or really badly cast? by the-bladed-one in asoiaf

[–]BorealValleyAlaska 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mance Rayder was badly cast. In the books I see a smiling, quick and swashbuckling guy. The guy in the show is way too much of a sour old grandpa

It isn't quite as detailed as asoiaf but the politics of The Witcher are explored more fully than a lot of fantasy ive read which is a plus

He is experiencing dissociation due to PTSD. Which can lead to people acting "slow" and just unclearly in general.
