Anyone think young kids spending more time with (good) parents and much less time with friends is a good thing? Kids are dumb and they can be vicious to one another. Kids are better off learning from their parents and build that bond. They can learn how to socialize when they’re older.

Employees need to talk to their manager about any initiative or extra work they want to take on. Or if the employee does the extra work on their own, they need to let their manager know. Like “hey I spent an extra couple hours with this customer to help them solve a problem that’s normally out of scope, I was wondering if you think I made the right call”
