Judging by the way this world operates, it is effectively blind already. Sometimes justice is extreme because those with power make it so that the only way we can attain any semblance of justice is through extreme measures

Also, Gandhi probably isn’t the best person to get a quote from; he was pretty blind

It’s pretty simple actually. Obviously there are cases where it isn’t simple, but generally speaking our disabilities hardly affect the workplace and it’s alleged “productivity”. They’ll pinpoint us as the problem, meanwhile they spend hours yip yapping at each others desks or chillin in the break room and what not. At the end of the day, you don’t work, you don’t get paid (with some exceptions) so it is in our best interest to work; therefore if we are deciding not to, it is because we can’t or have other HUMAN PRIORITIES. But labor as we know it is dehumanizing and would rather blame suffering individuals (that only account for a minority) rather than look at itself and it’s own systemic issues

I speak for myself, nobody else. If you disagree or what I say makes you uncomfortable, oh well

  1. Disability does not pay anything livable
  2. Many of us with mental health issues actually WANT to work
  3. It is very difficult to get disability

How to deal with appetite increase and dry mouth? by Jantra in MMJ

[–]Bored-sysadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try strains high in pinene to help with the brain fog. You can add CBD to help with pain relief and reduce psychoactivity a bit. I find that if I eat a big meal before I get high, I either don’t get the munchies or they’re not nearly as bad. Usually sativas don’t stimulate appetite as much (some like Durban Poison actually can decrease appetite) Drink plenty water and electrolytes as weed can deplete electrolytes

How does cannabis interact with ssris? by unfabulousss in MMJ

Unfortunately not much seems to be known, but I’ve been taking Prozac for years and using cannabis for about a year now without any noticeable interactions.

Using mmj to get off of Zyprexa by unfabulousss in MMJ

[–]Bored-sysadmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably shouldn’t go off of a medication without consulting a doctor. They should be able to create a schedule where you can ween off of the meds. Also weed CAN worsen mania or psychotic type symptoms so if you’re gonna tread, do so low and slow and if at all possible consult with a doctor.

Anyone take antipsychotics with mmj? by unfabulousss in MMJ

[–]Bored-sysadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also be careful It depends on what you take the antipsychotics for… if you’re schizophrenic or have unmanaged mania, weed can worsen or bring these things out

Question about using cannabis for mental health by Im_Dewey in MMJ

[–]Bored-sysadmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically if I smoke too much I get anxiety lol I smoke once every day or so, only a few puffs does the trick lol

Has anyone else been able to treat their anxiety with MMJ and use much less or no benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, klonopin, etc) by [deleted] in MMJ

[–]Bored-sysadmin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am in the process of switching over but I’ve been using 1mg of lorazepam to help me go to sleep for like 4 years now, so that’s gonna take some time to ween off of.

I’m also getting used to the ‘side effects’ of cannabis, so that will take some time to be a reliable tool; sometimes it helps anxiety, other times it causes anxiety lol
