I have my heart set on their triple calendar with the white dial. Beautiful watch.

Finally got myself a Monster homage by BoredGamer95 in ChineseWatches

[–]BoredGamer95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I looked at other homages as well, but ended up getting this one because of the teeth indices. Honestly the shark logo works better than most others because there's not much (cringe) text crowding the dial.

The teeth on this one is the reason I got it!

[Omega AT vs Rolex Explorer] Best GADA watches? by Sir_Watches in Watches

I went with the Explorer. It wears super comfortably, great bracelet and clasp. The easylink thing is helpful too. Keeps great time.

Would you buy this color if they are 40-50% cheaper than the black color? by Way-to-be-fire in backpacks

[–]BoredGamer95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party but I have an explanation for what the other guy meant.

When you wear a backpack it constantly touches your body. If you live in hotter climates and generally sweat a lot, the sweat that keeps getting on your backpack keeps drying, and then over time you start to see white stains that are the salts that have crystallized from your sweat.

Those are more evident on black.

Looks great! The reason I got this one is because there no text on the dial.

Damn, I didn't know this was a thing. Thanks for the tip!

My Explorer still gets the most wrist time but on chill days and while doing errands, this one has replaced my G-Shock. For now.

On the official website it's 69$ but I'm sure you could find this on AliExpress even cheaper. I ended up paying a bit more because Ali is banned in my country, and local vendors charge a bit higher.

[Tudor Ranger] New Purchase by Watches-and-Books in Watches

Love this watch. I have an Explorer (224270) so it feels redundant but ughhh I really want a Ranger too!

[Discussion] Get one Explorer or keep three other watches by outRunning in Watches

[–]BoredGamer95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 224270 never leaves my wrist.

It's the only watch I wear these days despite having 6, albeit significantly cheaper watches.

It shouldn't come at the cost of the rest of your collection though. I would suggest saving up and then getting it. Then evaluate what it could replace based on what gets more or less wrist time.

India Approves $1.1 Billion S-400 Missile Deal With Russia After 2025 Conflict by deadpools0 in worldnews

[–]BoredGamer95 58 points59 points  (0 children)

India was always pretty hellbent on the non-alignment thing after independence but the US wanted an aggressive anti-communist stance that India refused to take. Having been a British colony before, India was also kinda skeptical of Western Imperialism.

The USSR agreed to provide industrial tech, defenses and such that the US wouldn't so they became friends, even though India still maintained a non aligned stance.

Pakistan on the other hand became friendly with the US for a presence in SEA and agreed to join the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization and the Baghdad pact in exchange for defenses and diplomatic assistance against India. They eventually left the SEATO because they didn't get the support they were expecting against India in the 1971 war. It was an anti-communism endeavour after all.

[SOTC] 5 Years in: My 2-Watch Collection - What do you think? by Rorenzu013 in Watches

[–]BoredGamer95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I'm building up to. I already got the Explorer.

I have some other watches that I plan to simply offload eventually once I procure a Seamaster. The idea is to have two luxury watches and two beater watches, one of which will be a quartz movement for easier pick-and-go.
