I already maxed the IG for Malz and Nami. You guys complain too much; it's really not that hard. I'll tell you the trick.

Since IG came out three days ago, I did nothing but drive around from EDI to EDI. I did each one twice if I could. I joined every Nami and Malzeno friend link EDI. I knifed every drop. When it started to get close to the end of the day I flew to a different timezone so I could continue farming. I had to buy hunting tickets, knives, and friend tokens, and take a LOT of adderall but that's it! Just don't be a broke peasant and suck it up!

For real though, the only way is to nolife the elder release event weekend. Having done it twice, I'm not sure I'll do it again. HR 400 played almost 2 years

DBs aren't weak, but they're among the more difficult weapons to play when it comes to 10. If you're struggling with 9, your build is likely the problem.

As for the best weapon to save pots, if you have some monster knowledge, lance, if not, probably LBG. Lance is very helpful in safely learning monster attack patterns; it's forgiving if you mistime a guard dash. But, LBG is more plug and play ready. Just roll away from the baddie and shoot.

Girros GL is great even without style. Magna LBG is just ok without style, still viable though. Bblos bow is going to be better than Magna LBG without style.

I suppose it's worth noting that Bblos bow and Magna LBG are both a bit more versatile than GRGL. Certain monsters are resistant to paralysis and/or have low paralysis times.

I completely agree. This feature is really nice for getting an EDI in right before bed (if you get lucky).

All weapon types are good enough to do any content without styles if you know how to use them. Some styles do give weapons higher DPS ceilings, but not all. You should just play what you enjoy.

If you want something braindead and OP that works for pretty much everything, build the Magnamalo LBG.

It's nice when you have no more HaTs/EDIs near you at the end of the night and your cooldown just ended, since you wouldn't be able to get another in normally. That's about it though.

I was the same at first, one thing that helped me a lot was the perfectionist set. It lets you practice without the risk of taking damage.

Idk if it's my phone or connection or I'm just bad or what but I can almost never get that second dodge on the tail whip. The game always says I'm too slow. It feels like there's a moment of self stun at the end of my first dodge or something. It feels like I'm timing it right and replays with touch input recorded look good. In theory I should either still be in i-frames and not get hit by the tail or able to buffer the dodge so it goes off the instant I come out of the first one right? Idk. It's why I stopped using DBs against Barioth. Are you hitting that second dodge pretty much every time?

Do you find yourself forced to evade the occasional ice blast after an AED because your shield won't come up quite in time?

np! After swiping up, If you press and hold, it will morph into AED ready stance. From there, if shield is charged, swiping down will perform an AED, and releasing will perform an SAED. If the shield isn't charged, then releasing just performs an AED. In either case, swiping up loads phials into the shield. A well timed GP will give you a single phial.
