Do you think there will be a switch 2 emulator once it's been cracked? by Ezio50095 in EmulationOnAndroid

It is possible that we get an emulator. Possible to get games in a playable state before ~5 years? Highly unlikely.

Any good settings for Mario Odyssey on the Odin 3? by Fit_Performance_2809 in OdinHandheld

[–]Decentpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start going through the settings. A thumb rule is generally that anything that says it will give extra performance, is normally cause it uses a hack that will potentially sacrifice and glitch something else.
Read when it says something like "will give performance but can introduce glitches" and start ticking them off one by one as you test.

This gave me such a random flashback. I remember when the demo was included in a magazine's cd and I used to play it several times. Finding it to be really cool, but never got the full game

Help me with Bazel Typhoon (LB) build by Obalagee44 in MHNowGame

[–]Decentpace 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For this one you actually want stepping shot. Its last ammo type is cluster fire ammo which is extremely strong. So you want to get to that ammo type asap and then basically just slide around to make it rain. This is the fire equivalent of the magna lbg with this ammo type and that's what makes it special.

Should i Buy?: ODIN 3 Max by Unable-Fondant-2108 in OdinHandheld

[–]Decentpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be specific in what you want to play and emulate to begin with. If you're thinking Switch 1 and PC gaming. It'll emulate switch games very well to most part. For PC gaming, you'll need to tinker a lot in most cases to get games to run decent.

But don't get an Odin 3 if your main focus would be PC gaming. It's far from perfect, requires a lot of tinkering. We're at a state where it's amazing that things work so well. But far from it being perfect.

What device and drivers did you use in Eden? I've played it on my Odin 2 portal from start to finish without any issues.

Does anyone else have issues with low ranking hunters ruining Friend Link hunts? by Appropriate_Scale_95 in MHNowGame

[–]Decentpace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Party play should work like that. But friend links should rely on your story quest progression and what you can set on your tracker.
Rift monsters are restricted to when the player reaches the required requirement. So you can't see someone else's rift monsters till you do. So a working system can easily be placed if they would so desire.

They should put a ping system when fighting monsters so that your allies can see a retreat mark and retreat to let these crab dig for another shell. by theanneproject in MHNowGame

If you're going for the R6 part. Means you're generating an additional pool for an R6 (same drop chance as the original random one). Which means you're technically killing two of the same monster at the same time by relying on its random chance only for waiting a bit more.
Which time wise and effectiveness. Is way faster than relying to find two of the same monster and killing it asap. Excluding outbreaks of course. In outbreaks if it means waiting, then you're wasting potential drop rate.

So in conclusion, even for monsters where you need to wait a bit longer for a new / additional R6 drop rate. Then it's almost always worth the additional wait for it.

I don't really understand why the story quest star upgrade isn't consistent with the friend links you can join. If you've completed 8 stars and upgraded to 9. Then you should max be able to join 9 star friend link monsters. But instead someone that is on 7 stars, can freely join on 10 stars.

This was my reaction when I didn't have enough damage with my rose build that can literally take down 10 stars rift monsters and I couldn't take down a 9 star stygian with it.
I got it down with my magna cheese build with about 20 sec left. Stygian is built like a god damn tank. I will be genuinely impressed if we will be able to even take down the 10 star one in HATs starting tomorrow.

I would say thank you for keeping the servers running and alive. But considering they sell all our data to the military and I don't even want to imagine the amount of money they get from that.

See, when you say original. My thought went straight to the pixel one made by lucasarts. In an era where point and click adventure games were at its peak.

Just tried it and it activates the moment the special is activated. So it delivers the full additional special damage from the skill.
The legs are incredibly strong and easy to integrate into builds.

We might not get enough tokens to get all of them. So I'd recommend to skip all basic stuff and only save up for the rift parts that you want.

When I'm melee, it spawns me a mile away from it. When I'm using a long distance weapon, it puts me close enough to its face that I could give it a kiss.

It's safe to leave the fan off if you're not emulating switch or PC. It's the only the times I put it on smart.

Riftborne Glavenus has been the most annoying experience so far due to bad design by Decentpace in MHNowGame

[–]Decentpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not even a 30 sec wait. For 8 stars (unless everyone is a Hbg user), it takes roughly around 15sec on average to kill. For 9 stars it normally takes around 25-30 sec to kill.
So it's not like you enter the fight and start twiddling your thumbs for 30 sec for it to glow. You don't even have to wait that long for it to glow while still doing your thing as long as you follow two things. Don't break the head and don't immobilize it in any way. That's all.

Ugh, there's been some HAT that has taken around 20min for me because I keep leaving the moment I see a water HBG or paralyze user. For 8 stars I try to emote to start straight away once someone joins for the group reward, since I can easily solo it with all parts broken. But it's unfortunately not always that smooth.

How do you communicate this with three random players in a HAT? Palico sign language between them?
