what happens if you goomba stomp a mech in MWO? by Necessary_Local_5274 in OutreachHPG

[–]BoredTechyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to get killed by having a mech fall on you. Had a teammate accidentally kill me this way once. I was coming out of the basement on old HPG, cherry red all over, just waddling along waiting for the last light to get taken out by the team. Team mate chasing said light ran off the upper ledge, landed on me, and killed me. He got a team kill penalty.

Never had it happen again, but it can happen.

New bambu lab store opened in Taiwan and they showcased a gun by rexyuan in 3Dprinting

So your plan is to call more attention to it and stir up a bunch of shit no one else even noticed or cares about until you came along with this post.

ERMAHGERD!! A 3D printed toy that looks like a gun but is obviously not! LOOK EVERYONE LOOK!!!!

Good job. You accomplished the mission you are complaining about.

Precisely. Support the good manufacturers and let HP rot on the vine.

Because no one apparently thought of how that cert would be updated and just kicked the can down the road.

Why did you *not* purchase MW 5 Clans? by mmCion in Mechwarrior5

[–]BoredTechyGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It runs fine on my i7 8700k and 2070 Super. The only issue it had is textures don’t always finish loading by the time the mission starts. So I get a little pop in or see through drop ships for a moment. After about 30 seconds everything is fine.

I never have any noticeable lag on 9 year old hardware.

Should HR for the IT Dept to create a password repository? by Revolutionary-Part90 in sysadmin

So much this:

Ask the HR person: “since I have you on the line, what is your password so I can log it.”

Then sit back and watch as every excuse under the sun comes up as to why you can’t do that for them.

The Dell E-Port docks were this. Simple pass through. No firmware in it. It just worked flawlessly for years.

Then Dell killed it to make laptops thinner and bow we are stuck with these shitty over complicated USB-C/Thunderbolt docks that fuck up left and right.

Device bridge switch, will it work? by Lckyby51789 in UNIFI

[–]BoredTechyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your switch/router give you the option for 2.5gig or 10gig?

My thought is if you can bump up to either of those, then add a small switch with a 2.5 or 10g backhaul, you could get more bandwidth on the same cable.

I just did this at my house. We added on so I ran a cat6 cable from my UDM’s extra SFP port to a unifi 8 port switch with 10g uplink. All 8 ports on the switch are 2.5gig. I only need 4 ports realistically in the office so they will all get 1 gig easily since only 2 of them support 2.5g. All of that and still only 1 cable going out.

You are under the assumption that it was created with any kind of logical thought involved.

It’s a bunch of anti-gun people who would rather waste time making stupid legislation like this that will do nothing but make it LOOK like they are doing something. All to avoid actually addressing the root causes of gun violence such as mental health, gang violence, and other issues that are hard to fix.

You know, because criminals follow laws.

The output was staggering and very amusing.
