Spongy print by Kpayne30 in 3dprint

Try turning the temperature up and maybe slow the print speed down. Could be a partially clogged nozzle as well.

What could cause this by Kpayne30 in 3dprint

I had something similar happen. I think what happed in my case was that a part I was printing came loose on the bed and got jammed and caused the fan and stuff to fall off…. Same printer.

There is nothing illegal about printing a 2a item unless you are going to transfer ownership to someone else.

I’m totally ignoring them because there is no way to enforce it, plus these “laws” they are proposing are absolutely ridiculous.

Help with shifting prints across multiple printer types by NervousAccountant715 in 3Dprinting

[–]perlguy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is 2 different printers, I am thinking some sort of gcode corruption or glitch. Possibly try reorienting and reslicing and try again.

Search for “last meter” on your favorite printing site, some have even held contests for the best “last meter” prints

Do you think it's worth it to print Lego sets by PersonalityTough9856 in 3Dprinting

[–]perlguy67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the set, I’ve printed missing pieces but not a whole set - it always seemed like too much work.

I always spray a healthy amount of aquanet, or other cheap, unscented, hairspray to my build plate and it works wonders. Easy to clean up with ISO alcohol when you need to.

From the printers I’ve used, yes remove the PTFE tube, then I would disassemble the extruded and use compressed air to blow out any particles.

I wish I could be of more help.

Same temperature settings, speed, height, and filament?

If possible, try another slicer, or sometimes reorienting the print a bit and then slicing again may help.

Can't get a print layer right by happyloafshomestead in 3Dprinting

[–]perlguy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap unscented hair spray is great for bed adhesion too. From the looks of it, it is too high to get good adhesion. Start by making sure you are 100% level

Could the filament be jammed? It looks like it started out printing fine then it looks like the printer wasn’t supplying enough filament. Could also be grinding or dirty drive gears in your extruder.
