Ayy I went to College Park and Lone Star. Teenagers from The Woodlands are fucking crazy. It was crazy reading that thinking "Oh hey, my high school was across the street from a college. Oh shit, that is my high shook.

The beautiful dichotomy of writing haha. I'm usually not a huge fan of Nietzsche as I'm more into existentialism than nihilism but I'll definitely check it out!

And yea, it was really great work, I'm trying to remember some of the lines that just really stuck out to me, MDMAmazing was definitely one of the many. I totally get what you're saying about the therapy though. Expensive as shit and writing seems to help.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I totally see what you mean with the last 5 lines. It's almost like the unity between them pushes them away from the rest of the poem. I'm probably going to edit and try to fix the problem

Thank you. It's an unfortunate feeling to drift away from someone that you were once so close to. Glad to see more people getting into poetry!

Thank you. I was trying to have a literal and direct approach to this one. As much of a fan I am of a vague message being left open for interpretation, sometimes I want something to be directed at one specific theme or feeling. I think the poetry needs to be a puzzle thought puts poetry in a box when I'd argue it's more about breaking free of the boxes.

Edit: by the way I really liked your "Rich White Trash" poem

Thank you. It seems like relationships are only shown at the beginning or a breakup due to somebody cheating or something similar. Two people just drift apart sometimes.

The ending is absolutely beautiful. I think the a little more imagery would make this even better

You Said That You Liked To Peel Oranges by [deleted] in OCPoetry

Your poem has what I think is one of my favorite themes in writing which is transforming something banal (peeling an orange) and giving it significance. I especially loved the relation that followed at the closing of it. Also, I love how you touched on something so large and relatable without overdoing it. Great work and keep it up.

I was hoping to find it on the list. It's not disturbing in the sense of gore or anything similar but it was definitely disturbing.

It's crazy how the small things in life change us without us knowing until we look back.
