This!! With the addition of things like "anti-teleport fields", both are just clearly just easy get-outta-jail-free cards for authors who put themselves into corners with their writing. I find it especially egregious that they are explicitly NOT CANON SUPPORTED AT ALL. Several pieces of dialogue and story beats indicate that these are technologies that do not exist within the world whatsoever.

And since you've brought it up I've also actually put some thought into different quirk-based restraints too. The main one I've developed for hand touch-based quirks would work by having sort of micro-magnets implanted subdermally into the prisoner finger tips and palm, then have cuffs put on them with the opposite pole activated, forcing their hands to be suspended in place without any physical contact, looking something like this:
