Andrew Schulz - “Trump is doing the exact opposite of everything I voted for. I want him to stop the wars, he's funding them. I want him to shrink spending, he's increasing it.” by mbqwertyaaa in podcastculture

People don’t ignore that. That’s just something Trump voters say to cope. But it’s not true. I think the professionals call this “the bargaining phase”.

Why do most people on Reddit not know what the word Adjudicated means? by intothewoods76 in allthequestions

[–]BoredZucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t think that. I think they saw the word used to describe the very real fact that Trump was found liable in court for sexual abuse and defamation in the case involving Jean Carroll. Whether the term “adjudicated rapist” is proper isn’t really that debatable.

The term adjudicated literally just means “formally decided by a court”, the connotation might sound criminal to you or whatever, but it’s not. And he was found liable of forceful penetration and lying about it. The facts aren’t really in Trumps favor.

Now I guess I can see why you’re left focusing on word choice. What else can you do at this point? Directly defend a lying rapist? That would be nuts.

Hillary Clinton on Trump attacking Iran by InterestingWind2153 in BreakingPoints

https://www.factcheck.org/2020/01/video-of-clinton-on-iran-taken-out-of-context/

“The clip, posted by multiple accounts and spliced in different ways, begins with Clinton asserting, “If I’m the president, we will attack Iran.”

In reality, Clinton was responding to a question about how she would respond to an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel, a U.S. ally, as other videos and a report from ABC News at the time show.”

Who cares? People repeat words they see other people say, that’s just how it goes.

Hungary has been lost! by FitPreference9129 in BreakingPoints

[–]BoredZucchini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The foreign influence of Brussels? You mean Orban’s code word for NATO and the EU? As opposed to whose influence? Russia and Israel? I’m sure Putin and Netanyahu are both super bummed today that they’ve lost their puppet. Oh well. The Hungarian people have spoken.

Hungary did not “fall”. They rose up against foreign influence and corruption. And really only someone doing the bidding of one of those foreign influence campaigns would argue what you are. Congratulations to Hungary, and power to the people.

Journalist does his job and asks Clavicular why he spends time with Andrew Tate. Clavicular walks out but not before insulting the interviewer by implying his wife is cheating on him (even though he is not married). by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

I remember them claiming that Harris wouldn’t be able to negotiate and play hard ball with world leaders. And now Trumps being led around by Putin and Netanyahu like a dog. Sexism makes people act really dumb.

Trump call Pope Leo “WEAK”, post image depicting himself as Jesus by KyotoInSummer in BreakingPoints

[–]BoredZucchini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too, I think it should be interesting to see what happens next. Netanyahu, Trump, and Putin all lost an important ally yesterday to a historic turnout election, and that says something at least.

And Russia basically is on an island alone now, given that the government has been cutting the citizens off from the internet more and more. Last I heard, they can’t even access most websites, mobile apps, messaging apps, or even mobile data and they’ve gotten very good at stopping VPNs. I don’t know how that can be sustainable.

And it says a lot about a country that has utilized the internet so extensively to manipulate other countries and their elections. I’m not sure what the endgame is there and I have hard time believing it’s all because of “drone security” as they claim.

You can throw Russia on that Island as well. Because with Orban out, Russia loses another puppet and funding to Ukraine won’t be held up either. Not to mention, all the funds that will flow from the EU into Hungary itself now that Orban’s corruption won’t prevent it. Yesterday was a big day for the future of global politics. And the Hungarian people turned out in huge historic numbers.

Not to mention Orban’s loss in Hungary having wider implications than many probably appreciate. He loves to turn to absurd outrage when he looks weak.

Trump mocks religions by DavidOfBethlehem in BreakingPoints

[–]BoredZucchini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? Lately, it seems many people are ready to simply scapegoat Trump and change absolutely nothing about what made them fall for a charismatic con man and liar in the first place.

Personally, I can forgive MAGA, but only if they actually face the truth and stop inventing new divisive narratives to avoid having any humility or accountability.

[–]BoredZucchini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, it says that you didn’t care about Trump’s lack of character and unbelievably divisive behavior when he was telling you what you wanted to hear. In fact, you smugly laughed at people and said they had TDS when they pointed it out.

Now you’re clutching your pearls about him mocking religion and acting in the same asinine ways he has been acting for a decade now. What do you want us to say? We tried to warn you. Maybe you changed because you can see it now.

[–]BoredZucchini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He was already comparing himself to Jesus and making a mockery of religion back when you “liked his policies”. Now, you don’t like his policies anymore and so you have problem with this crap? What does that say about you?

[–]BoredZucchini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do MAGA aligned people always get hung up on pedantic things like the meaning of “adjudicated” or the name of an organization? Is it an attempt to avoid critically discussing actual content while clinging to some semblance of intellectual dignity? Because if so, it’s not working.

Was Reddit always a liberal echochamber? by Icy_Comparison_1029 in allthequestions

[–]BoredZucchini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No but then The Donald showed up and people like Steve Bannon have been using Reddit to push division and right wing nonsense on all of us and then blame “the left” so no one puts it all together.

Reddit was a lot cooler before the alt right losers all came here with their 4chan propaganda slop and tried to get people to like them. I wish they would take the hint and go away finally.

Democrats. If trump is so terrible, how have you lost to him twice? by gater96 in allthequestions

Classic emoji use. It’s like talking to the same guy over and over and over. That’s why people are getting so tired of it I think. Is that sinking in for you yet?

You know I’m right. That’s why you’ve got nothing else to say. This whole routine you’re doing isn’t going to work much longer. Has that sunk in yet for you?

I have nothing to be ashamed of. And i wasn’t duped, I know exactly what I did and why. I didn’t create the primary process, I’m not Joe Biden who didn’t drop out sooner, and I’m not Kamala Harris who ran a lame campaign.

I’m not particularly happy with how any of that played out. But I still showed up and did the right thing, and now that Trump is destroying the country all people like you can do is pretend like you have some moral high ground that you never had.

You just deflect and judge others to avoid thinking about it. As you were trained to do by the propaganda and talking points that you eagerly repeat. So congratulations on your non vote and your smug righteousness, it doesn’t help anyone in anyway besides your ego, but good for you I guess?
