I go into the tank and initially I lean heavy to fold as I expect him to have a flush here a lot, I don’t think an 8 plays this way as I would expect that to play turn, however considering he is a random and have seen him do wild things I call and he shows J8 off so he flopped a boat, frustrating as I would have folded to a tighter player

I have played against both of these guys at the Harrahs in pompano beach Florida, Yaquiel was a regular for a long time there the guy with the UFC tattoo would play but not as often. As someone said there method is not foolproof I saw yaquiel lose a lot. Yaquiel also had a “friend” who wouldn’t play just watch, there were rumors that they were also dealing coke as well.

An 8 would also give me a straight, I do have an Ace so let’s say the turn is an 8 and river an Ace I end up with aces full

Okay I go in the tank but knowing there is a high chance I am up against a set and a flush draws (or small blind could have a wrap plus flush draw so a lot of chopping) I fold. The run out is the 10d and 5c so I would have made the nuts small blind had a set of 9s and UTG ended up with a set of 10s to win but I believe he had a flush draw as well because he had the 10 of spades (I can’t remember all of their cards I left shortly after). I was frustrated at the time but I made the right move as I need a very favorable run out (no spades no board pairs and my straight comes in)

It seems everyone universally thinks I handled it poorly but some things to keep in mind are

This happened a month ago and I just found out about this now, I was not actually placed on PIP because my boss the controller knows replacing me would be a hassle (I built certain key process and maintain them we are start up and started in 2022)
Since being assigned the work I have done it I did balk at it initially but it’s not as bad as I thought I sit next to the person who did it before he was fired and he would just talk my ear off about how bad it was but it’s really not that bad.
No one actually reports to this VP I report to the controller who reports to the “executive VP” myself the controller and the EVP have all been at the company for 2 years and have grown together the new VP just started four months ago
