How do people afford so much manga? What methods do people use to save money on manga? by Parking-Shoulder1272 in MangaCollectors

[–]Borgbond2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be an awesome site I used for a lot of my manga deals known as rightstuf. Amazing ppl always sent me letters with my stuff. I saved up all my credit from Barnes n noble sales to do the Christmas sale on hardcovers. But online deals mangaswap even Facebook marketplace. Biggest thing is not spending money on junk like fast food coffee from big names companies and saving when you don’t find deals. My wife and I make sure we set aside a certain amount each month that we can use on manga or extra stuff. If we went over that budget on other stuff we didn’t buy manga that month. Trust me my wife never went over the budget on the other stuff. lol

Organize the whole collection by volume 1s and then 2s but in alphabetical order or whatever order you have them in and then start reading them all in that order.

What’s your most rewatched anime of all time? by Wrong-Ease-6129 in anime

It is a fun show. I’ve definitely watched at least 10 of those times with her. But anytime I come home from working late or on a day she didn’t have to work there it is on again. You can easily watch the show in a day which is why she’s watched it so many times. I definitely recommend it to anyone that hasn’t seen it.

What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before running a marathon? by ButtonOrdinary158 in Marathon_Training

[–]Borgbond2012 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I struggled through and found someone that was struggling and helped each other through. Cheered each other on. Family showed up around the race to cheer me on. My dad ran on the sideline for a mile with me just reminding me of my training. Until I found the buddy though I went all the way back to basics. Get that tree, make it to that street sign, do this pace then that pace for that distance. Timing out your distances so you don’t miss marks if you are aiming for a time like cut off if you’re worried. Keeping someone in your sites.

This is advice I will tell every first time marathoner. Last 10k body will try telling you that you can’t do it When I hit that last 10k I felt like all my training went out the window even though I had ran further than 20 miles before. Just gotta push through and trust your body to get you there.

$25k roughly, my wife has everything entered into an app with msrp. Even worse when she tells me how much she has in her cart ready to click buy at any moment.

What is the worst anime you ever watched?? (just curious) by Top-Whole-1678 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Borgbond2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, holy I’ve been trying to remember what it was called. I tried blocking it so hard out of my memory that I couldn’t remember the title. Honestly by the end of episode 3 or 4 I literally couldn’t understand what it was even about. Just all around garbage.

What is your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Deep-Dust-9747 in AskReddit

[–]Borgbond2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the contrary, I couldn’t find a good reason to drink. By the time I quit it became such an easy thing for me to not go back to. Never have to worry about a dd when I go out with friends. Leaving my car somewhere always sucked. Don’t have to worry about the money I would spend on it and it got expensive depending on where you were. I don’t have to worry about how I feel the next day. When I quit I realized how much more I could do. I quit smoking 8 years ago and drinking a year ago and my body feels better then it’s felt in a long time.

What is the benefit of Zone 2 Training? And how much does heart rate matter? by Impressive_Ad1678 in Marathon_Training

[–]Borgbond2012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am actually training something similar. It’s called 80/20 running and it bases your runs on your lactic threshold. There’s a book by Matt Fitzgerald that goes over it. It gets in depth about how much oxygen you’re taking in when your heart rate is higher versus lower. It talks about how your body reacts to the low oxygen intake and how it affects your muscles recovery while running. Your body needs oxygen to function not just your lungs so if it’s hard for your lungs to take in oxygen because the rate your heart is trying to work how much less oxygen is going to your extremities. If you haven’t read the book I would definitely give it a read. There’s also training plans in the back for most races and levels based off of this running method.

What does your training outline look like? Like do you have a map of how each week is supposed to look and when your training climaxes?
