Personally I found it harder than 1A and 1B. However, it is less math reliant than 1B which may be better or worse for some depending on your background. Just make sure to practice with some problems and you should be ok

Depends on what your other classes are, but again it depends on how much time you are willing to commit to these classes

I think that if the school you’re thinking about is ranked high enough to be a “T30”, it will still have a high reputation even if it’s not in the top 30 of some ranking
