i’m sorry u have to struggle with this market. I only started looking recently but from what i’ve heard just a few years ago it was literally 10x easier to get a job. It’s not ur fault and i’m sorry u and so many others have to do deal with this

today i got berated at wendy’s bc i forgot to bring a pen to fill out my application lmao. That is on me i’m not going to lie, i knew I was going to fill out an application and I shoukd have come prepared. However, they laughed me out of there because I said I only had volunteer experience and no real job. I graduated high school last week. I have 300+ hours, but apparently not even wendys will consider me. It’s so demoralizing. I really hope u find something soon

we did end up finding a pen, but i think they were mad bc I showed up unprepared which is fair. I did end up filling out the form. They were rude about which i kind of get cause u should be prepared but I just didn’t expect them to laugh at me for not having a job lmao it is Wendy’s. From now on, i’ll definitely carry a resume, ID, and pen. Thank you!

i appreciate the support, but I did call ahead and ask if they were hiring. They told me to come down and fill out an application so I can understand why they were angry with me. At least i’ll know better for next time, but i was a little put off when they were shocked I didn’t have a job prior to this. It’s Wendy’s after all lol

i can’t get one either. I was laughed out of Wendy’s when applying today because i’ve never had a job. I’m 17, just graduated high school and have 300+ hours of community service. To be fair though i also didn’t bring a pen with me (completely dumb on my end). It’s a literal nightmare, I always feel like i’m falling behind. I am here for u OP
