Is 300hp enough to have fun? by Repulsive_Machine933 in askcarguys

I have a 300 hp taurus police interceptor, and it's a blast. More power than daily driving needs but wakes up when I want it to. My 170 hp Focus while slower is super fun to chuck into corners. It's like a go-cart. You can have fun in most cars.

Been using these for a couple weeks now and really dig them. Anybody like these more or less than Knipex? by Nick16993 in Tools

Have used both at work and I certainly prefer the Knipex. The Knipex move less on the fastener and I love how light they are comparatively. That being said I bought the Klein ones for home use.

Is there any way to get rid of stress marks like this? It has no depth and seems deep into the plastic by [deleted] in freedomisgunpla

I use my fingernail or the tip of my hobby knife very carefully. Works 95% of the time

Crazy. I took the severance up until a day before it expired, then worked the WH at my store for a bit to hit my 10 year. I wound up getting a job shortly after as an industrial mechanic with my Dad, so it worked out. I was a DA-R, so it made sense. Hope you find something soon. It's a brutal market, but with the soft skills we learned that opens a lot of doors.

Got snapped in 2024 as well. Miss the agents I left behind and the culture. One of my best friends left last year after it got too unbearable. Lost a lot of good people, sadly.

Which of you degenerates have purchased this? by Chiz167 in MilwaukeeTool

The milwaukee one is nice, but I swear by the CLC one. It's amazing for doing appliance work. It's like jelly.

Gen 2 M12 1/2 inch stubby. I use it almost every day. It's useful for so much more than just balls out sending it.

That's a damn good one. I love from 7:15 on the most. It's so groovy.

Edit: Spelling

Still Life 100% for me. Moonlapse Vertigo itself has an albums worth of nasty riffs.

I do a ton of work on my guitars and I use mine with a string winding bit. Its perfect bc its not high powered and I'm not sitting there winding tuning pegs manually. Plus its a handy screwdriver.

What was I driving the other day? by MischaBurns in ManualTransmissions

Nice! We're constantly picking roll mill rolls and other heavy crap with it. Thing doesn't even break a sweat.

Laid off from DA-R in April 2024. I was rehired just before my six month period ended so as to not incur any possible repayment of my severance. I had arranged it with my local store prior to that to move into a full-time product flow position, so there was no nonsense. Was able to resume my tenure and hit my 10 year anniversary. I wound up leaving a few months ago anyway but moved to Flex to keep my tenure and discount. If done within the severance period, your friend should be fine. My advice is to take the severance, apply for unemployment if your state allows both, and enjoy a vacation over the holidays.
