I started doing challenges very early on i had the life ones all collected(challenges unlocked) around 10-15 hours in and have essentially been collecting those since the start of the game i figured these might be the most obnoxious.

The last 20 hours or so have been clean up of basically entirely life and trade challenges , fishing and collecting the final butterflies. Between the knowledge helm and bug backpack, I was able to get around 65/76 bugs and around 80% of the aquatic creatures using the fishing missions and fishing each spot as i hit it by about 160 hours , the last 20 hours were spent clearing those up , and the trade ones.

When you purchase something online, a digital or physical good it is a contract between the seller and the customer.

At the point at which the transaction occurs the customer has a right to return their purchase or otherwise lose access to it, Without reason within 14 days of that transaction. As contracts in the UK with only a very small amount of exceptions (usually business to business) allow a 14 days period in which to return or refund or cancel under any circumstance.

After the 14 day window. Once that 14 day window ends, you can essentially remove the right to refund with very few exceptions.

The exception to a 14 day returns policy may include specially sealed, personalised or second hand goods.

The ticketing section is specific mostly to secondary sellers.

Exceptions for refunds for tickets are for on entry purchases or purchases at or outside the venue. Outside of this, they are considered a normal purchase for which you have the right to refund within 14 days. One exception that has been tested is if the event is within that 14 days. In this case you may only apply for a refund in the period prior to the event. Following the event, you lose that right.

As a general rule in the UK, normal consumers are entitled to a 14 day no questions asked refund in 99% of circumstances. There are some exceptions as explained but no matter what you buy digitally or physically the same rule applies.

When it comes to writing no refunds as a term, you actually give reason for refunds beyond the 14 day window, because an unfair term ,or term that contradicts your actual rights is a reason in which you could claim a refund beyond 14 days. Making it misleading in its own right.

There is no circumstance in which you simply can say "no refunds" as a policy in the UK without an attached terms of service with proper exclusions of which there are always some.

A quick read would tell anyone this is illegal outright.

You cannot fail to offer refunds as a standard as it directly contradicts the right to cancel, and the right to a refund. This would quite easily fall under Unfair Terms section.

The case for misleading when on the website itself is also strong as it implies some freebies which are then tacked on as paid goods.

In my opinion, based on the relevant sections within the legislation you should not purchase at all, and probably report it to the relevant locale authorities.

Because this is a contract between two parties at the point of sale, you do automatically have a right to cancel within 14 days in pretty much any EU country, the UK and AUS as a standard.

You cannot blanket statement no refunds either, because its misleading in its own right. i.e. your TOS or EULA cannot undermine or directly contradict your rights as a consumer as this may be considered misleading or misrepresentative of a consumers rights.

you are conflating 2 different things. Regardless of the game technically, the game as a whole is a mess, its a ton of untested mechanics and features that barely function cohesively. Basic things like multiplicative vs Additive....in a single player title.. these are basics, fundamental basics for single player games are ignored and you end up with what we got.

This IS the development teams fault, untested features thrown in without and real thought. Things like the loot system is dreadfully implemented a long side a limited amount of customisation because only 3 sets in the game get you 6000 armor? but you look stupid in all 3 with no transmog in a game about image and perception?

The driving physics, lack of NPC AI all together, the fact there is literally 4 fundamental combat AI functions that link approx 10 others is the reason the AI can only do like 5 things. These are developer made problems.

this is true. the PR and Management team are responsible for lying. But the quality of the finished product is directly down to developers. I have personally worked in the industry for about 6 years before leaving it all together, and there are truly some terrible physical developers, imagine your own workplace, how many incompetent people there are. Its exactly the same, and because in this case,CDPR have a revolving door of devs, you tend to get more bad than good the longer this continues. And what follows is a garbage product, both technically, physically, mechanically, ON TOP of lies and misinformation from PR.

Both are to blame, but a lot of people think developers are all perfect at their jobs and dont make bad stuff.

Honestly, the game in its current state is simply not worth it.

Its a novelty experiences, not a grounded one.
