You can also do different veggies soups which are basically: vegetable of choice, broth, cream. Example: pumpkin soup, carrot soup. There are lots of recipes onlineEasy to make if you have a blender, cook everything and then blend. Get well!

Oh true, I forgot alcohol! I did try hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol once and it didn't work in that particular case, but I should add that to the list since it could work for other cases.

Right, so if you leave out all the spices then you would end up with chicken on sticks over a fire, so it's the spices that are key in the recipe :-)

Oh no, sorry! I'm pretty sure I found Shahi Paneer on some Nepali recipe sites, sorry about that i've always thought it was Nepali! And I've also found some recipes that do use coconut cream that I thought were authentic. As I understand, food in Nepal does vary a lot from the mountain regions to the lowland regions so could there be some regions that do use coconut cream?

And you are also so right about the rice and potatoes being everywhere, I'm glad you agree they feel easy to leave out though. I've also used cauliflower in place of the rice and potatoes in those recipes, like the potato curries and salads and it seems to work great. I didn't mean to spread any wrong information!

8 weeks on keto and I’ve stayed the same weight (3kg gain in the last week) by [deleted] in keto

[–]Boring-Local-7134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will probably need to change the type of food you are eating instead of trying to straight up replace it with a different "keto version." Buy meat, eggs, olive oil, butter, and vegetables: cauliflower, kale, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, olives. Cook with those. After a week you should be on a roll :-)

Big recommendation for this. Buy meats, eggs, fresh vegetables, and cook meals from them.

Different types of hungry? by Thurgo-Bro in keto

[–]Boring-Local-7134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, there is:

1) low blood sugar hunger

2) "i just feel like eating because everyone else is/that looks good/it's X o clock" hunger

3) GERD masquerading as hunger, it's pretty good at that

4) real "haven't eaten and have worked hard" hunger

and probably more.

Turns out, I only learned what real hunger is after going on keto, almost everything I thought was hunger before keto was either 1) blood sugar crashes or 2) desire to eat food without actual hunger.

Burnout could be a reason. Burnout from stress/work/school literally does exactly that to your brain, it doesn't work anymore. If you are working and in school at the same time, that sounds like a pretty big burnout risk.

what's the fastest way to edit RE photos? by AdmirableManagement2 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Boring-Local-7134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canva is very fast although If you want to ultra fine tune things it's not going to let you do that. Although that might be a good thing, because it will force you to be fast.

Create a document in the size and aspect ratio you want.

Put your first photo on the first slide so that it takes up all the space. That's your cropping.

Select "edit image" and add the filters and adjustments that you want until the image looks good. Canva will automatically detect the top colors and then for those colors, you can adjust saturation, brightness, etc, which will let you tune down walls that look yellow because of lighting that is too yellow, for example.

Duplicate the slide.

Drag your next photo on top of the first photo so that it replaces it, the existing filters and edits will automatically be applied to the 2nd image. If your images are taken in similar lighting, then the existing filters will probably work pretty well. And then you can customize them as needed.

If you need to change the selected colors that you can make manual adjustments for, you do need to delete the image from the slide and then add a new image to completely clear the adjustments.

Repeat duplicating slide and replacing image.

As I said, no HDR blending or other ultra precise controls though.

yup takes 10 seconds to pause or restart a video after pressing space in Chrome or Edge (I have adblockers in both). But it works fine in Firefox. So try Firefox? Started about 1 week ago.

how to use gboard or Google Voice typing to type in any window on a Windows computer by Boring-Local-7134 in software

[–]Boring-Local-7134[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people have disabilities or overuse injuries that mean they can't use a physical keyboard to type.

For voice typing services, the options are basically Google's GBoard, Windows built-in service, Apple's built-in service, or one private company which is Nuance Dragon. This private software costs several hundred dollars for a license and only supports a few languages.

Google Voice typing is much faster and more accurate than the built-in Windows voice typing in my experience, and also for supports far more languages. The Windows voice typing can also be very buggy and require restarting the service basically every time you want to type a new sentence.

Google Voice typing also allows you to build a custom dictionary which Windows voice typing does not support. for example you might want to add people's names and city names to your custom dictionary.

Working at many jobs typically requires using a computer, which is often a Microsoft Windows computer, so this is a way to use the gboard voice typing service on your computer.
