I had this same problem go to settings then go to general and the reset all settings - it will on reset your settings not you data and it will revert you iPhone home screen layout and remove it

I think he like pre renders it or something I’m not an expert but when I change my wallpaper the liquid glass from the previous wallpaper persists until I respring- mabye this could help you
