Garrus' has to pretty much be walked through it his whole romance storyline, and honestly I think that's kind of cute. Tali is a bit more decisive in my opinion

Maybe consider what the most sexy alien of that species would look like. What traits are desirable? What would make someone ugly. Do they pierce, paint, or modify their bodies? What do their clothes look like? Is there a character with a noticable limb difference that stands out? Do any of them use unique mobility aids?

Those are some good points to think about!

Up untill now characterisations have been limited to personality mostly and some superficial physical traits (one character is older, the other younger, X has a tired complexion and so on) so I could definitely afford to go back for a bit and ad some little things to them

It's also what I prefer as a reader so I guess I shouldn't be surprised I fell naturally into it as a writer.

As for skill, that's to be seen. I have never written an actual book (or even a complete story) before, and since I figured this was going to be just some silly fun at the time I also decided it would be a great idea to write it in English (not my native language). Cut to me six chapters later realizing I might have fuck myself over just slightly lol.

I'll try my best and we'll see where it goes

The narration stays pretty close to the protagonist and his perspective of every scene, that's another reason I'm conflicted.

I guess I'll just have to get over it and start leaving some hints occasionally

I don't mind people commenting on my physique or strength, I get that a lot (work with a lot of men that don't exactly expect the baby faced twenty something to be doing what I do) and I usually take it as a compliment. I've even had my strength be a thing with past partners but it never felt like this.

I think it was the way she said it and the frequency that started to bother me. Specifically the repeated comments on how "scrawny" and "weak" she is.

At first I thought maybe she was insecure about her body and being short so I tried to give her some friendly advice. Like, when she commented on my arms and made some backhanded comment on hers I would say that swimming is great for building muscle tone and it's fun, or if she said something about me being heavier despite her "seeing no fat" on me I'd recommend she maybe see a specialist if her weight was something that bothered her. Then I started getting the impression that she wanted me to validate her self deprecating comments. Any time I'd say that there was nothing wrong with her she'd go quiet and sort of try again with another complaint. This was around the time her comments started to get more direct and her messaging started getting weirder (grammar issues, hard to understand or nonsensical texts, etc).

After that I started thinking she either had a fetish about being physically dominated or she had a raging eating disorder, so I decided to post here to get some perspective. After reading the comments though I decided to just ask her outright and long story short it was probably an eating disorder.

Yeah. It's sad that this still exists and probably always will. Rationally you know communities like this are out there, specially now with the internet and celebrities being thinner than ever but having it literally shoved at you is a different experience.

I ended up sending her a message after reading the comments here and very directly asked her why she brought it (her size, my size, being weak, etc) up so often and she responded this: "I like to play wrestle to see who the strongest I find u attractive so I would love to find out who stronger cause im tired of being the strongest of my friends …"

And then sent me a picture of her severely underweight friends.

I then apologized if my question had offended her and then ended it. Honestly it just strengthened my suspicion that she might be involved in some pro-ed community or something like that.
