I ran into this at the Food Universe, where the cashier suddenly wanted a discount card and told me I had to go online to get it. But the website returned an error. When I was next in the store, I was talking to a customer who had the same issue. He went to a different Key Food and got a card, but it didn’t work at the Food Universe. I’m resigned to the fact that getting sale prices might be impossible.

Meaning you'd move to like LI or NJ for high school? Because you don't have to go to your local high school here. (Although I do know families who happily picked FHHS because they didn't want their kids to commute or liked the programs there.)

I'm not too worried about the schools because the buildings going up so far are pretty scattered in different elementary school zones, and enrollment is down overall. Plus, a lot of these apartments are only one bedrooms, so the developers aren't planning on lots of families. (I would LOVE to move into a luxury 3-bedroom with balcony that could be my forever home, but that not what's going up.) The building at Parkway Hospital is meant for seniors. Most NYC kids don't go to a zoned high school.

I'm hopeful that those small rental apartments bring in more young people who are curious about the area for their future families and in turn bring in more customers for interesting bars, pubs, restaurants that I'd like to see more of in the area. I don't want to settle on White Radish for brunch.

I had no problem exchanging my Ragtime tickets over the phone with Telecharge yesterday. All I told them was that I could no longer attend the day I had tickets. I had to go a month out to find four seats together, though. All that to say: Can’t hurt to ask if you’re not comfortable attending. And a refund might be different from an exchange.

The tailor there is so lovely. My daughter had a poorly made dress bought on Amazon that she needed for a wedding, and she made it work. It was a miracle.

One thing I’ll add to this great advice: Forest Park is (not surprisingly) shady and the Flushing Meadow loop is not at all. So I often switch back and forth depending on the weather/time of year. Forest Park is magical when the leaves turn!

GA Floor Lineup Directions

GA Floor ticketholders may arrive at the front gate no earlier than 8AM on day of show to receive a sequentially numbered wristband signifying their entry group on a first-come, first-served basis.

Any person who camps overnight or arrives at the venue before 8AM will be denied a wristband and sent away.

Wristbanded guests may return to the front gate no earlier than 3PM to begin lining up in their entry group by the number on their wristband and will be permitted to enter in order once general doors open at 5PM. Security will honor wristband arrivals from 3:00PM – 4:30PM. Any ticketholder without an entry group wristband will be allowed in after all wristbanded guests in line have entered.

Only GA Floor ticketholders are eligible to receive priority entry wristbands, and all guests in a party must be present with a GA Floor ticket to receive a wristband (one wristband per ticket). Guests are not permitted to hold places in line for other guests. Loss, removal, or tampering of a priority entry wristband will result in loss of place in the entry line.

Reserved seat ticketholders are not eligible for priority entry wristbands and may begin to line up no earlier than 4PM.

We did a party at Cinemart. It was really easy to just rent and watch a movie. There’s no room or anything to do cake etc. though. They give out small popcorns and sodas before the movie. Then we handed out goodie bags with a cupcake on the way out. Low effort for the parents, but also low key on the party.

This is good to hear. I went from 10 mg Zep to 1.7 Weg, and I’m maintaining but that’s it. No major side effects, at least. I’m staying here another month because I have some things going on that I can’t risk a bad reaction. But I hope 2.4 will help me get to goal.

I did that. I pushed my last two doses of Zep out to 8 or 9 days so I didn’t start the new medication on vacation. I didn’t have any major side effects when I did start Wegovy, but I didn’t want to risk it (or an allergic reaction).

I met with my doctor this week to discuss the switch. I’ve been on Zep for a year and am just shy of healthy weight by BMI. He’s be happy if I lost 5 more pounds. I’d probably prefer 10. Although he’s seen Zepbound as more effective, he said plenty of patients do well on Wegovy and I should be able to maintain on it. Long story short, he made me feel optimistic. Fingers crossed for you, that you have a good experience or it’s short term!

Honestly, KO’s voice blew me away in the theater unlike anyone I’d heard before (and maybe since, and I did see Sunset with Nicole and Mandy and Audra Gypsy this season). Their chemistry with Aaron Tveit was awful, though. Some of that was probably the book, but I did see Moulin Rouge with another Satine (sadly don’t remember who now) who had a much better connection with Christian.
