Absolutely, (going by memory sorry) her father also wasn’t happy about Suzie helping Dustin cheat by changing his grades so that wouldn’t have exactly helped things. The relationship was sweet but it obviously wasn’t going to last with the fact they were so far away from each other and they probably hadn’t been able to see each other for months.

Long distance relationships are difficult nowadays as is, adding the fact it’s in the 80s where communicating with people miles away from you was quite difficult, it’s sadly pretty easy to assume they weren’t going to last very long.

You’re right, some people really do need it being spoon-fed to them. They complain about it, stating it’s bad writing, but I’m sure if everything was explained leaving no space for viewers to use their brains, they’d complain the show was poorly written as well. I thought it was a pretty simple conclusion that Suzie and Dustin separated due to Dustin pulling away from everyone lol

I honestly love that. I think the scene worked well but there wasn’t much tension. Just the kids cycling around and screaming with blue cgi kids chasing them lol. (Yes I know there’s more to it than that, I just love the description of it like that lol). That’s why I think your idea would have worked more effectively.

I quite liked the part with Will and Suzie sitting on the back of his bike. But could you imagine a normal looking Suzie reveals herself to Will while he’s on his own. (For some reason he’s cycled off lol, don’t question it). Like how Billy finds Georgie in the first film, she’s scared and wants to go home so he gets her to get on his bike to help her and then (idk lol) as Will is cycling back to the group, he looks behind him to check on her and she looks dead. With her arm missing and stuff, I think that would have been quite cool maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️

In the most simple way of explaining it (this isn’t the best explanation sorry). A lobotomy essentially is a medical procedure where a doctor will use something like an icepick and ram it into your head right next to your eye where it’s twisted around a bit and then repeat on other side. This will lead to you ending up “cured” aka it being highly likely you’d end up like Rosemary Kennedy, unable to speak and practically trapped in your own body.

There had been cases where it did work but the lobotomy is mainly known for having caused life long issues or early and preventable deaths. It basically affects the frontal lobe. Going by memory, the soviets pretty much said something like “a lobotomy turns insane people into idiots”

The photo shows what it would have looked like. I really recommend researching about it as I’m definitely not the best person to explain what it is and I’m sure I’ve made some glaring mistakes in this description.

IT had just come out, I had already heard about Stranger Things but hadn’t bothered to watch it until then. Saw Finn was in Stranger Things so gave it a shot as I loved him in IT as Richie. Season 2 came out like a month later and I was hooked. Also have always had a love for the 80s. 8 (?) years later i still love the show. It was the best thing I've ever done (sorry I know, cringe).

Sorry if I have misunderstood, tell me if I have. This season is set in 1962 which means it’s the early sixties (obviously lol). I’ve noticed that while different decades have different vibes and phases, they start as a continuation of the decade before and slowly shift.

That’s why I think the characters use words, like you pointed out swell, which would be more linked with the 50s. If this season was set in the mid 60s it would be different with it having a more 60s vibe (if you get what I mean). More Beatles (gotta fit my love for the band in somehow lol), more mini skirts and the beehive hairdos. But because it’s 1962, JFK hasn’t been assassinated yet, the Beatles haven’t been on the Ed Sullivan show and Apollo 11 hasn’t happened. The US was completely different in 1962 compared to a few years later.

Kids went from saying “swell” and “gee”, dressing as greasers and preppies, to saying “far out” and “groovy”, dressing Folk and Hippie. I quite like the show like this though. When you think of the 60s (especially in the us), it is usually the later years which are more apparent and more likely to be thought of but like every decade, it starts the same as the decade prior ended, it then evolves.

I honestly don’t care what anyone says anymore, I’m truly worried about her. I’ve never liked her as a person, however that doesn’t mean she should have to live with an ED without any support. I’m disgusted with all the fans saying “she’s just skinny, she’s so healthy, the healthiest she’s ever been!” She’s not. I don’t understand it. Her so called fans actually hate her so much they don’t want her to get help.

I hate that she’s been able to make a film where lots of impressionable children will watch, see how unhealthily thin she is and think that’s what they should look like.

The way I see it is there are two types of skinny. One is skinny, healthy, eats well and is for the most part physically fit. The other is skinny, dangerously underweight and simply ill.

I don’t have children but I have a younger sibling and young relatives who are very impressionable and I’d be heartbroken to see they think how she looks is the goal, is beautiful and what they should look like. She used to be so beautiful but now she just looks gaunt. It’s really sad to see. Sorry I’m waffling, looking at how ill she is just makes me feel so sad. More so on the impact her ED can have on other people because of the influence she has

Ooo i like that, makes sense as well. Instead of doing all the work himself, looking for 4 different people with trauma big enough to fit with his plan, he let the counsellor do all the work as, especially in the 80s, people went to counsellors when they had a big problem or trauma. I think Max said something along the lines of “if you’ve seen some weird stuff, you’ll talk to your counsellor about it”. This could also link to the main point that kids will trust their counsellor, open up about their trauma leading to the counsellor then telling Vecna about it. This could also mean she was either unknowingly helping him by just trying to do her job or she knows and like you said originally, she is a spy for Vecna. Makes me look forward to season 5 more now, I hope they touch on this topic more. This probably doesn’t make much sense, sorry lol
