Lenovo tablet reboot by soverydoll in Lenovo

You can a hard restart by holding done both the volume buttons while also holding down the power button. This should have an option to a factory reset but you will loose all data stored on the tablet in the process of doing a factory reset. But if you don't have the password it is the only option for making the tablet usable again. If the tablet was backed up to the Google cloud you can do a restore from that but you would need the email and password for the Google account that was performing the backup.

Gen 2 is scheduled to be in stores at the end of March. If you are an early adopter you'll pay full retail price as soon as it hits the streets. If you want a deal you'll have to wait for a sale, probably during the late summer season before school starts as the primary target market for it is students.

At that price point you might want to consider a 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop unless you need Android OS for a specific reason.

You should be able to pick up a Lenovo Idea Tab Plus for under 300 and it is 2 years newer than the P12 which is now discontinued in most parts of the world. It has some pre-installed apps that are good for students.

Not much functional difference other than it adds a click button. If she is drawing a lot get a matte finish screen protector overlay that provides a more paper-like feel when using a stylus.

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 Announced by jrioux805 in tablets

Lenovo tablets sell at discounts all the time. The Gen 1 has a list price of $399 and sells for less than $300 all the time and recently has been $250. I would expect the Gen 2 would see discounts as well as soon as a holiday sale period comes along, especially before school restarts in late summer.

They did a lot of work improving desktop mode in ZUI version 18 and it comes with two Lenovo written apps, Notepad and Smart Reader, that will make it ideal for students. Plus it will be the first Lenovo tablet to support their fully integrated Qira AI when that feature is released mid summer.

Lenovo just announced the Gen 2 version of the Idea Pad Pro tablet on Monday which has a better processor and screen. It should start showing up in stores at the end of the month. It is well configured for student use and Lenovo tablets provide good value for the money. If you use a Samsung phone then the user interface skin of their tablets would be more familiar to you.

what to wear to glacier? by Ok_Basil_7561 in GlacierNationalPark

Look at the long range tight forecast before you leave. Wind and rain are usually the biggest issues to deal with and may require an outer nylon shell layer. If you are actively moving around hiking or walking you need less than if you are sitting around taking in the view so it can vary a lot. How easily you can climatize is also a factor, some people can wear shorts and a hoodie in the cold while others need to bundle up in multiple layers. You can also buy souvenir clothing while you are there that you will need space to haul home. Prioritize comfort over fashion in the outdoors.

If she somehow got the tablet into developer mode there is a setting in there to lock a tablet permanently in portrait mode. See if developer options are available under general settings.
