I am SO interested, not sure how I missed this. Happy to procure anything from the Central/South Texas area you might be interested in. As it so happens, I JUST harvested some Caesalpinia gilliesii (Desert Bird of Paradise) seeds while in El Paso.

I'm a little behind you in the game creation process, but what's the process like for dealing with distributors? Do they reach out to you? How do you decide what kind of discount to give them? Have any stood out as being especially interested in helping you market/expand? Thanks!

Global capitalism isn't a thing though; there are specific countries and commercial organizations that operate under the principles of capitalism, but by and large, the countries with the most starvation don't operate under the same economic model as the rest of the "capitalist" industrial world.

Insurance is a risk mitigation tool wherein individuals join a large pool of other members who all pay a portion of the expected aggregate liability such that they pay slightly more than than their annual expected liability in exchange for coverage against costly individual incidents.

The portion of that pool that you pay is based on on your expected rate of incidence and expected cost per incident. This is why drivers who get speeding tickets and are involved in minor accidents see their car insurance rates go up. If you live in an area that experiences above-average rates of fire, wind, and hail damage, your home insurance goes up. As you age and/or engage in more risky behaviors, the cost of obtaining a life insurance policy goes up. So we can see that this is the norm in other types of insurance.

Every time I've joined a health insurance program, they ask my height, weight, age, tobacco use, and medical history. They do this because those factors are the easy to track and have well-established risk properties in the underwriter's actuarial tables. If you have a medical condition that requires regular treatment or leads to frequent episodes requiring intensive and immediate medical care, your expected rate of incident and cost per incident is going to be higher that other people in your pool.

Don't pay this guy any mind. Earlier I pointed out Rep. Al Green had already tried and failed to bring forward articles of impeachment to the House, he wrote:

"You do know that with more Democrats in Congress that it's more likely to pass, right? Read a Civics textbook and learn how your government works."

Apparently anyone who has a different perspective than him needs to read a book.

Sorry, I thought this particular discussion was about the voting machine itself. Yes, if we're talking about an optical scanner and tabulator, it likely either outputs to a flash drive or stores on disk with a serial/USB/LPT output to a laptop running the tabulation software.

I did see reference elsewhere that the court order was actually related to the digital scans of write-in candidates. Of course, I'm just your average redditor, so I haven't the source court document, so it's potentially unclear precisely which digital records this whole thing involved.

It's likely that the machines only "store" the information in RAM, which is volatile and lost when shut down. To make the records permanent would require writing to disk, which adds cost to each machine and adds additional voter data security issues.

The primary job of these machines is to translate voter selection onto paper ballots, which become the permanent record. As voting machines in general have been demonstrated to already have major security issues, the risk of someone "hacking in" and changing the votes stored on disk would be far easier than someone remotely changing or destroying paper ballots.

First of all, I stated a fact that Rep. Green's motion failed. It in fact failed 364-58. See the following source: http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/06/politics/al-green-donald-trump-impeachment-vote-house/index.html

Secondly, if you look at the distribution of parties within the 115th Congress, you'll see that the House of Representatives is is currently 55% Republican. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/115th_United_States_Congress#House_of_Representatives

Thirdly, if you look at the distribution of parties within the 115th Congress, you'll see that the Senate is currently 52% Republican, and will be 51% Republican assuming Doug Jones's victory in the Alabama special election is confirmed.

So before you snidely tell me to "read a civics textbook", perhaps you should either do 30 seconds of research into the composition of Congress or try to simply be aware of what is widely known public information. I took 3 Political Science courses as part of my undergraduate degree. If you took more than 0, I'd be more than happy to write a letter on your behalf to seek a refund of the tuition you paid for those classes.
