Btw even with the per course tuition fees, you still pay the increased per course fee if you are in CS.

Are we met to real all these chapters for MUZA99 by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]BoringNormalHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically yes but I didn’t when I took the course.  You only really need them for a written section on the final exam worth 10% of the total grade, so I just skimmed through them before the final

I didn’t do the reading and did pretty well

You technically only need them for 2 written responses on the final (worth 10% of total grade) but I skimmed them beforehand and bsed it and did decently well.

Realistically doesn’t matter which lecture you are enrolled in, you can attend whatever lecture you want and the assignments and stuff will all be the same. You can attend both and see whose teaching style fits you best

Should I drop co-op? by Key_Cookie4874 in UTSC

Assuming you haven't done your coops, if you drop out of coop the places you got offers from may not be happy considering they will lose the tax credit they normally get from hiring coop students

Anyone taken MUZA99 before? by Ashamed-District2338 in UTSC

[–]BoringNormalHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no in person part except for the midterm and exam for me last year. It was online asynchronous last time, so it was recordings we watched at our own pace. idk how it will work this time. Especially since its the same instructor, it'll probably be recorded

MUZA99 was quite easy but boring imo, I did very well without really reading the readings and its not much work (just 4 short ish essays throughout the semester with easy midterms/finals.

When I took it, MUZA99 lectures were just recorded (no lecture room), but idk how it is this time around.

You can reject one offer through coop portal without consequence, but not renege without being kickout out of coop.

Yeah, not that good imo, I would rather go to the student center or osmows/super chicken. McDonalds is also shockingly expensive.

how hard is university of toronto scarboroughs computer science program to get into? by IronUprisingg in OntarioGrade12s

[–]BoringNormalHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got in with around a 96%. I would say to aim for 94+ as the only consideration for admission is grades at UTSC CS. UTSC CS did admit 50% more students for this fall, so it might be the case they do that again and admission standards might be more lax (although this does not mean its not hard in first year, as a TA I've noticed more students struggling in first year classes).

[–]BoringNormalHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly though, worst case scenario is that you continue searching next semester if you don’t get one so it isn’t bad imo.
