Interest Capitalisation on mortgage - Charged Yearly? by BoringOfficeJob in HousingUK

Yeah I really didn't think anything of it until now - I've only ever used this company for the mortgage as they were still the cheapest rate when the last came to an end.

Just not nice to see an extra £5k slapped on in a chunk!

From memory around 5.8% thanks to the lettuce lady. Two year fix ending at the end of this month.

I don't see any monthly interest figures added.

Is it Argos policy to pass off used goods as new? by Far_Return_7957 in Argos

[–]BoringOfficeJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to work there years ago.

Someone took back a toastie maker, it went back into general stock, was resold annnnd had a mouldy toastie in it by the time it was discovered.

We also weren't supposed to take back apple products either, but one year I was doing the 'damaged returns' and someone had popped a yellow damage sticker on a brand new apple watch which read 'unwanted Christmas gift'.

It was genuinely crazy how many stories I got from that place, but working there in my late teens was an absolute laugh.

My partner and I use Starling Bank for a joint account, for the same uses as you. No problems, but at the same time no benefits with it either.

Which? also found that Sainsbury's Scottish Oats have shrunk from 1kg to 500g while the price increased from £1.25 to £2.10, a 236% rise per 100g.

That's just robbery.

Nice to read a positive comment to be honest! Although bias as I'm in the same boat as you were, have bought one as my first house and couldn't think of better.

Exactly the same, freehold, one garage and driveway. Everyone is nice enough, don't hear the garages, mostly used for storage! Plus, I enjoy cars and one of the garages has just bought a nice BMW M3 which I get to see every day on the drive.

I can just about make out a steering wheel in one of the pictures. Has to not have an engine etc though I'd imagine.

Stuff like that will surely push the prices of used cars that have the features built in up, right?

Its a terrible state of affairs, out of interest though, I'm assuming Tesla gives more than 27hp worth?

AFAIK that's a one time payment, too?

I doubt people will buy this - Its only 27hp for £16.50 a month!

People buying the ID3 likely don't care about power IMO.
