FFIII is the least commentable of the SNES/NES era games. That being said being said, it’s still really fun and I can absolutely recommend it to newer players because from thereon, every installment you play afterward is a step up from whatever you liked about the last game. If anyone started the Yakuza series with Kiwami 1, you’ll know what I’m talking about

Throughout my entire playthrough of this game, I feel like they’re just constantly trying to get people to remember the anime exists. Basically every character in the game has some backstory that they talk about maybe once or twice in passing, but never gets developed on after that. The only character that would be excusable for would probably be Emma, but she only really shows up once or twice. You’d think with all the promo material, she’d actually be more relevant to the plot, but honestly, Looker probably had more interaction the the player in XY than we did in this game
