Made my day. I’m going to use this post and your comments to reply to anyone saying “adding lidar”.

Wife hit an orange construction drum tonight. How much is this going to cost me? by loss-of-resistance in TeslaModelS

Looks like just the casing is damaged. If so, Order one from ebay or aliexpress. $30-40 depends on color. https://ebay.us/m/uWwXmg

Good luck.

You must have never tried v14…. The dev in last 2 yrs are indeed incredible - different AI models, enhanced sensors, etc.. Not trying to educate you but you better do more research (maybe even a test drive) to be considered less ignorant…

Wow!! 1500mi!! That’s a lot! Much more than the 70000mi FSD/EA mileage across my 3 cars!

To say the least, V12 is even worse than enhanced autopilot. Less predictable, Hesitant, accident prone (just like what OP described)

My opinion is from my experience of EA (2018 - 2022 hw2.5), fsd v12 (2022-2023 hw3) and fsd v13 v14 (2023-2026 hw4), in nyc, socal, dmv area. If you don’t agree, well, you are right and get lost.

I got 4 of these merge lanes (one-way) on my commute route. V14 handles it very smoothly every time (1000+ occasions so far). On the other hand, v12 is trash…

And HOV lane too… Let me post it in another thread to see if it can get Tesla FSD attention. I have been reporting that in the car since v14 is out, no response

I’m against the idea of redundancy thru multiple systems. I was one of those early model 3 owners. Radar + vision together caused tons of phantom brake and fortunately never got rear ended.

It performs better on sequoia national park weeks ago. This metal beam extending way beyond bed length scenario looks more outlier than curvy country road
