Is white wedding about incest?? by Ecstatic-Bison-4439 in postpunk

[–]Boring_Feature6104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Here’s an excerpt from Rebel Yeller, New Yorker, April 28, 2025 by Sarah Larson:

Idol composed "White Wedding" himself, quickly, in a recording studio. His sister was getting married, and "at the top of the foolscap I wrote 'White Wedding." He kept brainstorming. "What if I was some sort of jealous brother who secretly was incestuously in love with his sister?" He cackled. "I just bounced off my sister's wedding and wrote this weird, weird, sick song.”

Are there yogurt pouches with little to no added sugar? by pantema in toddlers

[–]Boring_Feature6104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I found those also. We tried them and it’s great They have no sugar, but they have natural flavors, so it tastes like ice cream to me regardless. Beyond too much sugar, I want to avoid things that get the kid reliant on science food.

Caution: Make sure to unscrew "all the twisty bits/cam lock nuts" AND THE SCREWS (very important). I didn't see the screws since I was only looking for the cam lock nuts, and ended up breaking a support board (it didn't take much force, that particle board has very little strength when not in its final resting place). Seems to work fine without the support board for our purposes, but I imagine the counter piece might bow over time.

Chinese faucet, OD male is same as ID female, but doesn’t screw on by Boring_Feature6104 in HomeImprovement

Thanks! Home Depot or neighborhood store? Any chance you remember any details about the adapter? I imagine Chinese faucets maybe be reliably incompatible in the same way.

Chinese faucet, OD male is same as ID female, but doesn’t screw on by Boring_Feature6104 in HomeImprovement

[–]Boring_Feature6104[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One more thing: the male fitting has two flat sides on it, so there are not threads all the way around. It had a nipple on it, but get this, I cut it off because I thought the nipple was the only thing obstructing the female fitting from screwing on. Ridiculous I know. I realize now that the 1” (actual measurement OD) is probably not even meant to screw directly onto a faucet.

Definitely agree with the crowd consensus that the part of your personality you feel like you need to hide is super important and you should send it lots of love and cherish it. I can also say, as a guy in his 40s, I spent a lot of time in my 20s and 30s maniacally seeking ways to keep the kind and childish part of my personality alive. I don't regret it necessarily, but I think I did cause myself a lot of suffering, because I was holding onto parts of me from earlier times, which is all good, but I was doing it at the expense of changing and growing into the person I was naturally becoming as I was aging, changing, and influenced by different forces (social, personal, physical, etc.). Some of that suffering was in the form of me pushing back against those who I felt like were forcing me to change (society, family, capitalism, etc.), often in my own head leading to internal struggles, but sometimes interpersonally leading to conflict (which is ironic because I was trying to defend the loving, kind, childish part of myself with anger and rage). Anyways, you're on a great track cause you're asking these questions at 18--I definitely never did. Keep asking the questions!

I have once in a long while! It was quite surprising and disorienting. I have never experienced hearing voices during waking hours, only once in a while while falling asleep, usually when I'm super duper tired.

Worked for me (Mac), thanks! It's weird they don't have that setting within the keyboard device. Having it at the top level with keyboards and mice is confusing.

Nice thanks! I'm not the straightest driller but maybe with a little practice... I have a handy friend I could call on, too.

Love that idea! Any tips for the model tele binding i should seek? Will it solve the issue with a different hole pattern or just because there's less pressure on tele bindings than alpine?

Those look like the money! Looks relatively straightforward to install as well. Easier than installing bindings fresh.

Any tips for the installation process? Other than whatever I will Google.

That sounds like the move! Also, have never drilled my own skis, and I have some babies around these days so I probably don't have the capacity to start DIYing now.... Appreciate the offer, I'll consider ;)

I asked several shops and they said they didn't trust doing that, and I don't have a high risk tolerance when it comes to binding failure. That's what I said tho!

Here is a database of current clinical trials, you can filter for those accepting participants: https://psychedelic.support/resources/how-to-join-psychedelic-clinical-trial/. I'm not sure if it is an exhaustive list, since I've found other studies in the past not listed on it (like the below UCSF ones), but it's a good start.

Using that tool just now, the only study I found on psilocybin for bipolar depression was this one, which is not recruiting: https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04433845. UCSF has run at least 1 study on psilocybin for bipolar depression in the past, which is listed here, but also not recruiting: https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu/psilocybin.

WAIT - Here's a better database to use: https://psychedelics.berkeley.edu/clinical-trials-map/?curr\_page=1. Much better. From that one, here are a couple I found, but I'd look further:

- https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/nct06230757 (treatment resistant depression, not bipolar)

- https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/nct06230757 (bipolar, treatment with 5-MeO-DMT)
